Looking at Zerah, one might be tempted to say she's an elf.
But, she's not an elf at all~!
She happens to be a Newman! What's a Newman? Well~
Newmans are genetically-engineered humans from the Gurhal system. More frail than humans, the Newmans have affinities for TECHNIC use, as well as ranged combat. They're not all that resilient, so close-combat options tend to be quite limited for them~
Other advantages to being a Newman are increased mental strength and evasion skills, the ability to use Crea weaponry, and an affinity for most Force-class types.
However, as we said before, they are not all that resilient. Newmans cannot take a beating like most other races.
But, then we have Zerah. Zerah is mostly similar to the rest of her race... her affinity for TECHNICs and ranged combat has not changed at all. But she is also of a different mentality than most Newmans...
Well, first... she's the squishiest Newman anyone has ever seen. Thick and plush, Zerah turns heads wherever she happens to go. This adds to her defense, believe it or not... squishiness makes her a bit tougher than the rest of her race!
But, more to the point, Zerah is well-known for being able to forge TECHNICs. For those who aren't aware, TECHNICs are basically photons acting on one's psychic abilities... similar to magic, but not magic! Zerah has perfected her abilities, however... she's able to create TECHNICs to perform tasks~
And what of those she's created? Well... most of them are there to indulge her~
Living hair. Plush upgrades. Shrinking victims. Growing herself. Animating her favorite weapon, the photon whip. This is just a small sample of the things Zerah has created TECHNICs for. She eats people, you see... though you likely already figured that one out~ She's a powerfully efficient predator, though she's always got a resurrection buff cast on herself in case her snack manages to snack on her~
For those who need to know the technicalities, Zerah is a Fortetecher. Her favorite weapon is the whip... she also carries a photon bow, twin daggers, various casting rods and wands, and a few support units~ She also controls Flandre. Making her even more dangerous!
She has a particular fondness for felines, these days... they remind her of Beasts, from back home, but gentler and snugglier. Kitties are the best food for her... and also have the best chance of gobbling her up!
