Zaranine, pronounced as Zarr-ah-neen, is a larger than average teenaged slug girl, around twelve feet tall and twenty feet long. The upper half of her slightly pudgy, the girl usually wearing a tank top to at least keep herself decent while not obstructing her body too much, as clothes that stretch down too low would run the risk of brushing against her slimy lower body rather easily. The slug girl herself is a ginger, with long, flowing red hair and quite a few freckles dotting her face, and with amber eyes to match, though most people would probably overlook her upper body to stare more at her long, slimy tail.
Like all slugs, her tail constantly seems to secrete a sticky ooze like substance, that leaves a slimy trail in her wake wherever she goes, and could likely cause someone to stick to it if they weren't careful. The tail itself it rather squishy and pudgy, much more so than her upper body as it tends to be where most food goes to digest. Though the dominant tail color is pink, there are splotches of purple and yellow along her body, mainly near her underside which is more of a purplish hue than the generally bright tail colors. Given its size and girth, the tail actually weighs quite a lot, though the squishiness of it at least softens the impact for anyone unfortunate enough to be caught below it.
Her insides however are rather soft and velvety to the touch, stretchy and mushy to allow the consumption of larger prey without hurting herself. Her natural size makes preying on smaller creatures rather easy, though even then her body is stretchy enough to accommodate creatures that wouldn't normally fit in her mouth, allowing her to consume creatures nearly as big as herself if she needed to. While her stomach is rather humid and warm, the slime could be easily compared to that of the slime on the outside of her tail, keeping most victims well incapacitated and left struggling weakly against the cushy, churning walls. Though she could hypothetically let prey out of her system, she'd generally need a good reason to do such a thing, as ejecting her food does take quite a bit of effort. While the slime outside her tail isn't really deadly, prolonged exposure to it could slowly dissolve clothes or other weaker materials.
Personality wise, she's not really evil at heart, but more playful, in a slightly sadistic sort of way. She's aware that most people around her are smaller and weaker than her, so she does like to show off her dominance to anyone she can trap in her slime, usually taking her time to tease her prey before finally freeing them briefly and swallowing them down. At least, that's when she's hungry. When she's not, she can actually be decently social, as long as she can find someone who she can at least relate to. Though given her size, it usually takes a little bit of convincing to get her to consider someone more than a means to sate her large belly. Still going through teenaged hormones, she can't help but feel an overwhelming hunger as her driving force most of the time.
