Zan is a lazy sort, not inclined to chase after or pounce at things. He much prefers to just lay about, perfectly content to wrap around anybody that comes within reach. Though, of course, he has to go looking around eventually. He's a creature of simple tastes. He likes laying in the sun on warm days, and he likes eating! Though, he is also rather inquisitive, and will often rummage through sleeping bags and luggage and tents any time he..clears out..a campsite, keeping anything in particular that strikes his fancy, and bringing it back to the large, hollow tree he lives in.

In conversation, he seems to be good-natured, enjoying talk with others. Though, he is rather smug, and often acts like a flirt to those he gets his coils around.
