Ask any village about "The Light of Hope" and they will talk of the miracle priestess, Ysabelle. They say she can cure any ailment, heal any wound, and defeat any unholy evil. The eldery have contracted some horrific disease? She can cleanse it. Your scouts or hunters have each receieved a grievous, gaping wound? She can mend them. A demon has invaded your home and is currently knocking over your dishware? She can banish it. All of these, assuredly, are exaggerations. She has knowledge of cures, she can mend most wounds, and she can shoo demons away back from whence they came. But... this all comes with a price.

All uses of her magic or upon exposure to a light brighter than a full moon will result in an immediate but temporary blindness. Her golden eyes will cloud over with a swirling mist, leaving her vulnerable and mostly helpless. The strange quirk stems from her birth: Amylia blessed her with life after the sheep was delivered as a stillborn. Rather than curse the dragon for her ailment, however, she has learned to live with her oddity. Residual energies given by the dragon goddess have allowed the sheep to faintly sense life around her. This ability, of course, is not some miracle power. Ysabelle can sense life, but she cannot discern direction from it.

As if all that wasn't bad enough, Ysabelle absolutely requires some sort of magical focus to cast her magic. Her amulet never leaves her neck willingly as it is her main casting focus -- were she to lose this treasured amulet through accident or force, she would be rendered 100% defenseless. The ewe features no kind of physical defense, not even running! All she can do is hope and pray for her safety, which more often than not leads to moments where she must be saved by external intervention. More than once have bandits held her hostage for considerable ransoms because she chose to wander outside in the night.
