It's hard to say why life is so hard when your the deadliest species on the planet, aside from a select few.
Many have to lift weights, fight battles, practice magic, hone themselves to become the top of the top. Alouette was -born- dangerous. She lived most of her life as a being that could kill anyone with a mere swipe of her fangs. And yet, she is trying her best to be approchable.
Ok, sure, her french accent does not help matters. Most people either see her as some dangerous foreign threat...or they are the exact opposite, believing her to be absolutely cute and harmless, till they learn what she is...and they promptly go back to the former. Thankfully, its mostly adults who have that approach toward her.
Such is the nature of the world, though. She has to live by the rules humans state.
Humans outnumber lamia, after all.
Oh yes, there are voreophiles that have that want to be 'ate' and thats perfectly within their rights to be ate, either to be killed or not...but just because they are a big old lamia, doesn't give them the right to just flat out eat you...or your pet...or your animal. They have to buy an animal themselves, or have to get permission from the state and BOTH parties have to be of their own free will...its not so much as getting a meal, as it is being given the right to experience something special...a delicacy for the lamia...whether the voreophile lives or dies is also a contested point....
..at this moment, they are forced to regurgitate, but there are actually lobbies on both human and lamia sides fighting for the allowance of lamias to actively eat humans...but thats a gigantic, boring legal battle...
Or its murder...or theft...or hell, even in some cases its actually been called animal abuse.
What's a Lamia to do in a modern world where they are the minority?
Coexist, and follow the laws of the majority.
It is the world Alouette is born into. No, she wasn't born in some lamia commune out in the middle of the desert, or out in the wilds and trying to adjust in some home.
She was born in an American hospital,literally the first day her parents came to america. Her father and mother were both lamia, escaping persecution of monstrous species that was happening in Paris and had moved to start a new life. She lived in a community of lamia till she turned ten, though, amongst the other refugees seeking asylum. Because of this, her first language is french and always will be, though she is learning english quickly
It is just around these ages that her family moved into the big city she would call home till she turns seventeen and goes onto college. This profile, this Alouette, as it were, is the girl you'll be able to interact with from hereon out, or will be interacting with if there is any silly spells cast upon her.
Personality
Cute, Cheery, happy to see you. she can be a little mouthy and jaded at times if someone is getting on her case, often defaulting to french during those times, especially if she feels insulted. She does tend to speak french a -lot- when she is talking to herself or if she begins to go on a rant.
She also doesn't get bothered if someone asks her to stop speaking french, she knowing fully well how annoying it is when someone speaks a language to her she doesn't understand and somehow expects her to know it.

-Alouette is heavily related to the black Mamba, her venom being Mortally toxic.
-Even at this age she has a fondness for music, and pork.

School Uniform: No matter how old she is, she has been going to catholic schools her entire life, therefore is dressed in the all too familar catholic school uniform more often than not. White blouses, long or short sleeve depending on the season. Long skirts that cover her up in a tan or black.
Hair ribbon: When her hair is longer, she slips a cute white ribbon, something she gets away from doing as she grows older.
Bean-bag chair: What better for a lamia to be comfortable then to coil around one of these!
Anti-digestion pills: Required by law to have on her person at all times.

Remember: Lamia means Warm blooded and live birthing in my perspective. Naga are cold blooded and egg laying.
