Yatziri has never not known the life of luxury, having been spoiled for as far back as she can remember. Not only is her kind already considered rare and exotic, she also managed to make a reputation for herself due to her ability to change the weather, gaining the favor of a city that had been plagued by constant rainstorms. After solving the problem that had plagued them for years in a single day, the people there begged her to stay, which was when she truly realized the potential of her powers. Given the nature of her abilities, she managed to convince the people around her that she was the sun god, manifested on the mortal plane to aid those who needed her most, in exchange for a life of luxury. Words of her actions slowly spread to neighboring cities, and those that believed she were a god formed a cult around her, believing she would protect them as long as they did as she asked. Those that questioned her status did not last long, as more and more power went to Yatziri's head, her small demands for free meals eventually evolving into full blown ritual sacrifices to appease her growing appetite. With so many people following her, and her opposition fading away into her gluttonous belly, she was free to do whatever she wanted with little consequence. Now everyone around her pampers her like a deity, and those that refuse are given to her as ritual sacrifices.
