One of the leading guys in Reihou Academy and a sidekick to one Toudou Mamoru. An antagonistic character who, despite his some what silly mannerisms with Mamoru, is actually quite threatening and is, by far, the strongest of Reihou Academy's fighters. Known as "Slick" to a few, Taiki has an oddly passive nature but, does not seem to allow it to overshadow his immense power. One could liken him to that of a thinker, than the brute he's come to portray himself as. His relationship with Toudou Mamoru is perhaps one of the best examples of this side of his personality. Mamoru is charismatic, and outspoken while Taiki appears to prefer being in Mamoru's shadow taking in the situation and providing support for his friend. At the same time, however, Taiki wants credit and recognition for the things he's done and, if not given his dues, will often becomes upset and aggressive towards others. Taiki has been known to be quite vengeful when in this state of mind.
Unlike many fighters, Taiki boasts minor telekinetic powers, his ability to levitate and throw objects with his mind is one of his most dangerous (and well known) moves to use against those foolish enough to blindly confront him. This psychic move is known as "Yamada's Arts" which, as explained before, allows the user to pick up objects with their mind and throw them at the opponent. The range at which Taiki can pick up objects is normally fixed to at least one city block, however, the maximum size he can pick up has yet to be documented. The largest object thrown by Taiki was rumored to have been a car and a
Daibatsu.
