Xiuhcoatl -- the -- Devout
Xiuhcoatl was a devout of the powerful, worshiper of the old gods, and shunned from his village at birth. The vampire lurking in the forest was one of these old gods, kidnapping the child
for his own pleasures with the promise of powers of that beyond those of the warriors. Xiuhcoatl agreed, often abandoning his gathering duties to practice magic. He started small, working
his way up as he became the first high priest to his people. He got the villagers to pray towards this mysterious god, giving sacrifice by bleeding for him and leaving the bowl out by night
to be taken. Of course Xiucoatl learned the truth about his “god” thanks to the idiot immortal to teach him magic, the beasts he could defeat, and his local religious tales of life and
splendor. Xiuhcoatl rose to power and set up a façade by first summoning a devious god. With its blessing, Xiuhcoatl went out on the promise to become its follower if he was granted powers
beyond mortality. Xiuhcoatl was seen, a little boy telling the vampire of the traitorous actions to befall the beast. It was all in vain, since it was a part of Xiuhcoatl’s plan.
Xiuhcoatl knew his vampire’s pleasures being the first in a while to sate the beast’s lust and gluttony. Xiuhcoatl had bite marks all over his skin, not all from feedings. All other scars
he had were gone, his skin punctured to be the beast’s as if marking the boy for the misery until the boy became cunning, getting the village to feed the beast for a trade of prosperity.
The vampire soon grew a soft spot for the mortal, even confessing his love for the boy he tormented at a young age in hopes that this behavior was a sigh of good graces to save the vampire
from the loneliness of immortaility. In a way the vampire would get his wish, but not in the way he thought. Xiuhcoatl had to deal with the boy, killing the pawn for his own pleasure and
playing it off as the vampire. Xiuhcoatl became the one to feed the vampire once again, soon making promises to give the town back to him as the village worshipped the denizen of a god.
The vampire depended on Xiuhcoatl, soon caving in to the young man’s request of immortality. He turned the supposed lover without hesitation, letting the boy wake to a hunger never felt
before. The god that was summoned could not handle the pressure of magical power as it was shunned away. The beast known as Xiuhcoatl was born. The village soon was confounded as neither
the god or their high priest helped them through the times, the vampire lost in a craze as it was caged. Xiuhcoatl would wait until his image was forgotten to time, killing those who were
banished from his village or those who tried to colonize it. Xiuhcoatl used the betrayal of the young boy as a way to ask for forgiveness for what he did to his lover.
He made his move, going back to his village as the people murmured the tales they heard of the young man from stories from their grandparents. Xiuhcoatl soon lavished the village with
promises of the end of famine, the ability to fight any plague, and the power to live beyond time. Though it interested many, most refused his offer as they could tell it was too good to be
true, so he gave them an ultimatum: give him their best warriors or have the village be slaughtered. The options seemed ludicrous to hear suddenly from a man in bedtime stories, but when
night fell and the starved vampire unleashed his frenzy upon the innocent was when the conceded screamed into the man’s ears. Xiuhcoatl slayed his lover to gain all the power he needed. The
human became an alpha thanks to magic and transfusion.
