So, welcome to hell! I see you've got your eyes on our hounds, yes? Well then, there's a few things you'll probably need to know. First and foremost, they do not make good pets. Like, not at all. Hell hounds are all wild for the most part and don't bow down to anyone, nor do they call anyone "master". Even if the most noble demon were to enter their presence, they'd attack. This presents a problem for the residents of hell, as the hounds will often hunt down those who stray from the others. The only way to get one to bow down to you would be to best it in some sort of fight and assert yourself over it. You should always exercise caution though, because even a hell hound that you have bested will try to prey on you. Letting your guard down after that would assure a most degrading end for you, as these beasts can be quite vengeful...

They do seem to have somewhat of a pack relationship similar to wolves, only with hell hounds it is a constant struggle for who is the Alpha. They'll fight each other almost constantly for the position, and it can really only be held by one of them for a long time if there is an obvious difference in power between a single hound and the rest of them. All of this fighting is because they all seem to have this iron will and a burning desire to subjugate others, not unlike those of the high ranking demons!

It's very possible for someone to "own" a hell hound, in a way. It just takes an almost constant effort to quell any rebellion inside of the hell hound, to be prepared for a retaliation at any moment, and feeding them properly. Feeding can make everything so much easier, as it will at least give the hell hound a reason to be subservient for a bit longer. This won't end the rebellious attitude, but it will lengthen the time between rebellions.

Goddess help you if one finds you while it's in heat. An easy way to tell if one is in heat is if it is giving off an unusually large amount of body heat. An even easier way to tell is if it attacks you on sight. The easiest way to tell is if it's leaving a fiery trail behind wherever it moves.
