Xaalina

The Nazzadi:
Nazzadi are jet-skinned, red-eyed human analogs who were created by the Migou to invade and occupy Earth. During the First Arcanotech War the Nazzadi devastated large swathes of the planet and almost succeeded in defeating the fledgling New Earth Government. The revelation by Field Marshal Vreta of the Nazzadi Fleet that Nazzadi were clones of humanity lead to a brief civil war among Nazzadi forces which was won by Vreta's rebel faction. The Nazzadi surrendered to the NEG and settled on Earth as part of the new society.

The largest concentration of Nazzadi on the planet is in Cuba, now renamed as the state of Nazza-Duhni.

Nazzadi pride themselves on their looks and athleticism, and are naturally more agile than humans. They also have no nudity taboo and often decorate themselves with white tattoos. Currently they compose around 40% of the Earth's population, but are not evenly distributed. Nazzadi have a natural form of lowlight vision.
*White Nazzadi are a rare genetic defect that come from a xenomix, that is, a human breeding with a Nazzadi. The person would be completely white - not albino, fully white. White hair, skin, even eyes. They are naturally psychically capable, and are often shunned from society, under strict watch from the New Earth Government.

About Engels:
The Engel Project is a top-secret NEG initiative led by Dr Akimura to create synthetic organisms, or synthorgs, from a combination of alien, human and Nazzadi DNA. The results are known as Engels, giant, armor-encased monstrosities outfitted with terrible arcanotech weapons. After many initial failures the Project eventually developed the Engel Synthesis Interface (ESI) to succesfully allow a human pilot to control the rampaging Engel mecha. The Engels have saved the NEG from certain defeat, but are no guarantee of victory. The Engel Project has vast funding and support from the NEG military, but its true nature is carefully concealed from the general public.

Xaalina is an intruiging sort of woman. Born to a Nazzadi war general, and his human wife, an opera singer, she was raised on various military bases all over the world, from Germany to Japan to America and everywhere in between. Once her father retired, he settled with the family in a small town in the northern reaches of France, near the shoreline. After a few years, Xaalina joined the local military base, and began to fight against the encroaching Migou, an alien race bent on destroying the world. What they should have been watching out for was the cultists from within..

Within the city, a riot started, sparked by local cults worshipping various Old Ones, and many were killed. The Migou, finding this to be a vital weakness, struck at the town..and destroyed most of it. Xaalina was one of the few survivors, having made it out with a pair of siblings. She called for evac, and got them safely to the military base in Ireland nearby. She was devastated..left without a home and without a single posession to her name.

After a few years of inactivity, spent working in various supply offices, Xaalina was drafted for Project Engel, to be mentally fused with a Chashmal, one of the most foreboding and dangerous Engels.

Documented conversation from the lab after Xaalina's procedure:

Scientist 1: "Staff Sergeant Takahashi, how do you feel?"
Xaalina: "I feel..strange. There's..a lot of talking."
Scientist 2: "You've been drafted for Project Engel..your mecha is now linked with your mind. Can you identify the difference?"
Xaalina: "It..it feels..strong. Its voice is booming..and it feels old..very old."
Scientist 1: "Can you compare it to anything?"
Xaalina: "..a dragon."

Abilities
Psychic - As all White Nazzadi, Xaalina has psychic abilities, her own enhanced by the presence of the Engel fused with her mind. One of the various things she has learned to do was shapeshifting..though it is very limited. The Engel she is fused with, Chashmal, has always been compared to a dragon, and thus, her mind built up this image of a dragon, which caused her to look into shapechanging abilities. She developed the form of a silver dragon, a feral and proud creature, along with the ability to take on various parts of said creatures at will. This drains her mental strength heavily, however.

Engel: Her Engel is a Chashmal class vessel, of the Behemoth size class, around 55 feet tall. Its main weaponry is a large charge beam, two hyper-edge claws that have an acidic like secretion that naturally seeps from them, two linked laser cannons, and a chaff dispenser. On land, it moves at about 30 mph, though when taking to the skies or seas, it can move at a much faster 120 mph, accelerating to its full speed in two seconds.
