Jirachi, the Wish Pokémon. While multiple accounts state that Jirachi sleep for 1000 years, this is an exaggeration.
There are some that must go into deep hibernation, but not all of them do, with most only needing to sleep for a bit longer than other Pokémon once they've expended energy.
Legend states that Jirachi will grant the wishes of those who sing serenely to them, whether they are willing or not.
If a Jirachi does fall into a deep slumber, a crystalline substance will begin to form, eventually engulfing the whole Pokémon as a protective shell.
Appearance
Jirachi is a creamy yellow and white Pokémon with small black eyes. As a shiny, it's skin is slightly reddish.
Under its eyes, there are V-shaped markings that are red. Jirachi's head is yellow and resembles a star, but with only three points.
Hanging on those three points are three red bands that glow when it grants wishes or charges up attacks. It also has two wavy yellow strings streaming from behind it.
Personality
Being very young, Jirachi is extremely friendly to most anyone she meets that she doesn't deem 'scary'.
She is often very smiley, and can always be found around places where there are a lot of games to be played.
Although her trusting nature has gotten her into a few bad situations, the friends she does have are fiercely protected.
Although not fond of fighting, preferring healing or defensive moves, if backed into a corner or protecting others, Jirachi can be extremely powerful, though easily tired.
Abilities
Jirachi are Psychic and Steel type Pokèmon, and are immune to Poison typed attacks, this applies to poisons from creatures outside of Pokémon. They are weak to Fire, Ground, Ghost and Dark typed attacks, resist Normal, Grass, Ice, Rock, Dragon, Steel and Fairy typed attacks, and are doubly resistant to Psychic typed attacks.
Jirachi's ability is Serene grace, which allows her to use her powers to greater enhance the chances of her moves working as they should. ((Or, it doubles the chance of having secondary effects from moves, if you go for full on game rules.))
