Winters_Crown

In some parts of the world, legends are still told, stories passed down through generations, stories of the fearsome white dragon, known as Winter's Crown. The icy scourge, the matron of a hundred, hundred dragons who covered entire land masses in ice and sweeping blizzards as she spread her terrible rule all across the world. In many parts of the world, people talk of the hero who went to face her, bringing the matron low, forcing her great family to disband and take on more peaceful lives. They speak of the epic battle that surely must have taken place, as surely the only way to tame so ferocious a beast was in a life or death struggle. It always makes Eleonora giggle when she hears about it.

Oh yes, Winter's Crown, in some parts of the world, is very much alive. The terrible draconic ruler who waged a war on the world. Of course, no one would ever realize. While she's very clearly a dragon, most just assume she's just an unrelated white dragon, or at best, one of those descendants or children who took the route of 'peace' when their matriarch was 'felled.' History embellishes a lot of things after all, and it definitely embellished her old lover. Yes, lover. She 'fell' before him alright, fell in love. He tamed the savage beast, brought peace to her family, and did much to extinguish that violent inner fire of hers. Yet, in the end, he was a mortal man, and they tend to live very short lives.

Alas, thus did her lover die centuries ago, but he did manage to pacify her enough that his death was not enough to bring back that icy wrath. So, she has spent her days doing...whatever she wants really. She still leads her family, still keeps track of them all, but nowadays? She travels the world, going from place to place. A dragon of her power and wealth is not wanting for things to do after all, so she just...goes about looking.

One day she might be looking into a cute young hero out and about. Maybe another day she'll become a maid to someone, or apply as a waitress, or a stripper, or something even more explicit. Maybe she'll actually join an adventuring party (with her own power severely restricted of course). Maybe she'll indulge those old instincts of hers and wriggle her way into a position of power, abuse it for a few weeks, and then just vanish into the mist as things collapse around those forced to put up with her. The world is her oyster, and while many would argue her behavior isn't exactly...good. It's probably better than dealing with the return of Winter's Crown.
