Whitney chiffon was once a normal mermaid sitting down at a the bottom of a large waterfall at the edge of her village.
On top of the waterfall was a shrine that had a koi pound in the pond of the waterfall with a good amount of koi swimming around inside.
Every so often a young koi will swim down the waterfall into the large lake below only for it to return.
With their objective to return home, Back to the shrine on top of the waterfall so of course they have to scale it.
Whitney enjoyed watch these koi admiring their endurance and determination so she often visited the place.
On one day however with she was splashing her bare feet in the water itself snagged a precious heirloom she had from her.
The wave washed over taking the heirloom with it as it splashed into the waterfall sending it flying up the waterfall.
It was shiny enough for Whitney to see it getting on top of it maybe even toward the shrine?
Whitney knowing that scaling the waterfall is taboo she took inspiration of the koi and tries swimming on top of the waterfall.
You how the story goes from now right? She struggles overcomes it and eventually ends up on top of the waterfall.
Upon going through the gate she was transformed into a mythical dragon... Well most of her that is. Now she resides in the shrine as the shrine maiden. Thinking it was fate that brought her here.

As for now.. She mostly resides in the shrine and only leaves every so often for food.
Mostly hunting prey like she used to along the shore but she has can use her old mermaid form to go in public.
She doesn't interact with people in public and often just enters and leave quickly. However..
If you meet her on the shore you might see a brief look of her true form. And if you are wounded she can save you.
(By swallowing you and healing you within her golden coloured insides <3)
She doesn't do much as well.. she is a goddess i suppose but one without a role. A purpose to fill giving her a lot of free time.
She can make it rain tho. I guess that is something right? I guess you can call her the Slacker goddess or the unemployed one.
