Her name is something lost to the world, and something only she knows now. When people have asked, for so long she has simply called herself "Watarijin", or "Watarimono Meijin"- the expert wanderer.

She was first a prodigy upon birth, gifted with the ability to learn, retain, and master what she saw. Rather than harness her talents in education, the girl was raised as a swordswoman, trained from the very beginning of her childhood to be a great samurai, who would have much room to learn and grow. And she was even employed as such as early as eleven. However, what no one had planned for was for the death of her lord that very same year, and her falling from the ranks as a ronin.

Officially, her lord's cause of death was said to be a blade, as he had many deep gashes. Watarijin thought that she had, for the first time in her life, failed at what was expected of her. she could have easily been employed by another lord with her talents, but she instead took it upon herself to wander onward, and master the sword more than anyone had- after all, it had been her life for as long as she had known, and she was still so young.

She is an adult now, and is even more proficient in her art than she had been when she left ten years ago. Her life is her own, and her skills have sparked myths who have heard of the Watarijin. Many claim her ability to be some form of magic, given how many things she seems capable of doing. But if it be magic, it's something that no mage or occultist has been able to counter.
