Igniaris Vulcanis. On the continent of Eorzea, that names carries great weight. Warrior of Light, they call him. One of many, scattered across the timelines. A chosen of Hydaelyn, the mother crystal. A champion of the people, slayer of primals, godlike beings that threaten the lives of all in a region when one is summoned. Conqueror of Bahamut. Savior of Ishgard. Titles, meaningless titles, as far as he is converned.

Igniaris is devoted. To the idea of salvation, protection of the common folk. Time and time again, he has placed himself in harm's way to save the lives of others, often people he does not even like, who will never thank him for it. He would die for another, if the situation left no other alternative, though as his companions are fond of saying, heroic sacrifices are a last resort.

The warrior of light is.... Something of a renaissance man (Manderville man?) who has learned numerous trades and styles of combat. White and black magic, the mathematic, logical magic of the arcanist, how to wield a number of blades, from broadswords to greatswords to axes and katanas. To simply call him a veteran undersells his skill, and the decidedly supernatural ability he possesses to learn new skills and ways of combat.

Yet despite all this power, fame, and skill, the Warrior of Light is not haughty or prideful- though he is a very serious, no-nonsense individual. More often than not, he finds himself assisting the common folk in day to day tasks, cleaning, hunting, and slaying beasts that threaten the settlements he visits, and he sees no problem with this. What he is doing in the Nexus, heavens only know, but there have been whispers of strange aetheric rifts as of late. Who knows, if you have a problem, perhaps he will help you solve it, if you ask... And he is sure to welcome socialization. A nice change of pace, for the weary hero.
