It's hard, outliving everyone you know. Outliving everyTHING you grew up with. It can be difficult to adapt to changing times, changing places, changing faces. Some, of course, do it better than others. Others... well, they find a good job that doesn't change much and just... settle in there forever.
Adrian Vosk is very much the latter sort of soul. He found his niche early on, and has stayed in it for centuries. It's a good niche, mind you: He's surrounded by wealthy, powerful people all the time, he makes a lot of money, and no one really questions his outmoded sensibilities or his outdated attire. Which is good, really, if you're a dragon who doesn't like to be bothered while gathering their hoard.
Yes, dragon. Yes, he LOOKS human, but looks aren't everything, are they? He's very much the giant, fire-breathing monster of myth. The thing is, he learned from his parents how not to stand out. Dragons weren't exterminated, they just... learned to mind their own business, instead of getting stroppy, burning down the countryside, and sacking castles. Besides, when he was born, it wasn't like there were very many castles left, at least not with any real money.
No, he did better. Born in the 1700s, he became mature in the 1800s, and he decided: Why not business? Yes, it's full of ruthless assholes, which makes it uncomfortably close to being with his family, but they're just human. None of them will last too long. He can buy into some companies and quietly take over... Which, needless to say, worked out rather well for him.
Vosk industries, in the modern day, is a multi-national firm specializing in financial matters. Loans, accounting, debt collection(to a degree, anyway), they handle all of that. They manage risks, advise on investments, and are one of the quiet firms you never really hear about. They're not at the top of the industry, but they've got a peerless service record for their clientele, who value discretion above all else. Vosk, of course, charges a premium for his people's time, but their discretion is unparalleled, which is important when you're playing accountant for all the myths and legends of the world.
The issue, though, is that... well, things have changed. Vosk never saw much of the outside world after he grew up. He landed behind a desk and pretty much stayed there, for centuries. It's been difficult to adapt to modern styles, modern personalities, and modern sensibilities. The women, now, are so much more... scantily-clad, than when he was young. So much flesh on display, so many toned, taut figures, have proven to be a temptation for him. He tries to ignore it, but... well, it's all too easy to lose control, to have to explore those changes, those beauties on display... to have to TASTE them.
Still. He's wealthy enough to buy silence, and has magical means of dealing with things. And, if all else fails, why, they just disappear without evidence, as he enjoys a fulfilling last meal with them.
He's a fairly handsome man, in his human form. He's six and a half feet tall, with short-cut brown hair, silvering at his temples. He's fair-skinned, with purple eyes that are, yes, slitted like a reptile's, not that most notice behind his glasses, and he's always clean shaven. He favors dark-colored suits, which he has tailored every few years to keep up with the times, and his only accessories are leather gloves and a rather nice watch, while of course he favors oxford shoes. So... now that you know what to look for, keep an eye out. If you see such a gentleman watching you. ladies, you may want to leave...
