Verti

"A-aah!! Help! Someone, please! G-grab the rope-- I don't want to float away!! I c-can't bear it-- not again--"

tl;dr: extremely paranoid and timid Drifblim girl. afraid of heights, which would probably be hilarious if heights (or falling from one, anyway) weren't what killed her. oops. she was formerly a human and died very recently, which has left her naive, confused, and woefully unacclimated to being a ghost. she's pretty much always stressed unless she has something to weigh her down, since she's liable to drift skyward otherwise.

---

The girl you see pictured is a rather unfamiliar sight for most people, including herself. It wasn't too long ago that Verti woke up looking the way she does right now, with only a scarce smattering of memories to help explain why. She can recall having a similar figure, but the white hair and yellow skin are definitely new, as is her body's blatant disobedience of gravity. She's been able to put together enough of the pieces to conclude that she used to be human, and her current form came into being at some point shortly after her death... a death that she's quite sure didn't happen in the distant past, considering that she hasn't even been a ghost long enough to know how to be a ghost.

All she currently remembers of her former life are fleeting, vague images-- aside from one very vivid memory, specifically of several nightmarish minutes she spent falling from an obscene height before inevitably dying on impact. With this horrible event burned fiercely into her mind, Verti can't stop herself from being gripped by terror whenever she's more than a few feet off the ground... something that, for a Drifblim, is generally a perpetual state of being. Suffice it to say that her fear of heights is as inconvenient as it is ironic, despite it being rather justified thanks to her past experiences.

Being what she is, Verti's body is deceptively light and prone to drifting on the wind, which she has almost no control over. She regularly ties weights to her ankles to try and keep herself grounded, but strong gusts will still sweep her off her feet and often carry her high into the sky. A virtually constant fear of that, combined with her frustration and discomfort at not knowing exactly why she's here or who she used to be, makes for an unhealthily neurotic girl, constantly suffering from unbearable levels of stress and paranoia. It's rare for poor Verti to not be a trembling wreck.

Thankfully, even though she's heavily dependent on others for it, it is possible to alleviate some of her anxiety. Having someone hold the rope attached to her leg brings her some comfort, as does patient company. She's also found that eating a lot can make her too heavy to fly away, something she's immensely grateful for... but it takes an incredible quantity of ordinary food to securely ground her, and swallowing very heavy objects tends to be uncomfortable. People, on the other hand, work amazingly well; Verti will almost never harm anyone she uses for that purpose, and she tries to be nice about it, but that doesn't necessarily ensure that her victims will enjoy being stuck inside her. This causes her occasional guilt, and while it's not always enough to deter her, there is an alternative: embarrassingly enough, being inside someone else provides a similarly soothing experience for Verti, albeit one she's more hesitant to acknowledge. It essentially forces her to give in and abandon her worries and worldly concerns, and in her eyes, humiliating herself is a small price to pay if it means she can finally relax.

(seriously though, please send help)

☁ Verti might be a big girl, but it's important to keep in mind that she's pretty much a hot air balloon in humanoid form. She weighs less than fifty pounds. It isn't because she's actually full of helium or anything, either, but because the consistency of her form is soft, spectral, and airy. She's solid enough to the touch... just much squishier and more compressable than a living creature would be.

☁ Her curly hair functions more like clouds than actual hair. If you ran your hand through it, for example, it would disperse around your fingers; there are no strands to speak of. It even behaves like clouds, and its shape, color, and quality change in conjunction with Verti's mood-- so if her face doesn't give away what she's feeling, her hair probably will.

☁ Because being a Pokémon is still extremely new to Verti, she's not a particularly skilled battler. On top of that, since she remembers being human not that long ago, she's very uncomfortable with the idea of being owned by one. She'll strongly resist capture as a result of these things, and while she may not entirely know what she's doing, she's capable enough to at least defend herself with her emergent ghostly powers in the instance a Trainer or other Pokémon decides to pick a fight. Setting things on fire seems to come easily to her, surprisingly enough...

As PredAs Prey

Being PredBeing Prey Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Pretty even switch. Both eating others and being eaten herself provide her some relief from her constant stress, so she'll take whichever is most accessible, though she wouldn't generally ask to fall prey to someone else.
Soft Vore Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Soft is the only way she'd even consider doing it, and, well... it's kind of hard to chew up a spirit, making this the logical option regardless of her role.
Digestion Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Verti may occasionally digest her prey, but it's not terribly common and tends to happen mostly when she gets too excited and loses control of herself. So long as it isn't unnecessarily graphic (which isn't really feasible with a spectral character like her, even if she does technically have organs), digesting her is completely fine. She usually won't hold it against people.
Fatality Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike She's kind of a sweetheart, and killing people isn't something she'd ever revel in. It is a natural consequence of digestion, however, so it's not like she can always avoid it. She'll just feel kind of sorry afterwards.Verti is a ghost, albeit a tangible one. She will digest as easily as any other creature, but her form will re-manifest some time after her predator has made use of her. So killing her is no problem... if it even counts as 'killing'.
Endo Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Definitely the approach she takes the most often. Verti seeks to be grounded by the weight of her prey, so the longer she keeps them, the longer she can feel calm. She'll usually let them go once they start fussing.Loved equally as much as digestion; it's pretty much up to the predator's discretion to decide what to do with her. Verti herself very much likes being held for a good while, though.
Oral Vore Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike The favorite and the standard. The player isn't terribly fond of too many other kinds of vore.
Unbirthing Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike While this is occasionally enjoyed, I'm extremely shy about it. I'll only permit it in private with close friends of mine, and Verti has to be on very good terms with the other character to even consider it.
Soul Vore Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike As a ghost, she's capable of this, and the player happens to like it a lot. Her kind nature means it's almost unheard of, though, so it will only be done when it's requested directly and makes sense for the scene.Consuming Verti's soul is the only real way to put an end to her, assuming it's digested or otherwise assimilated. I may like soul vore, but I'm not interested in subjecting her to this, especially since she'd be terrified.
Food Related Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Anything that incorporates food into the context of a vore scene is adored. Squishing the prey in there (regardless of whether it's Verti herself or a victim of hers) with a bunch of other, non-living food is a big plus.
Rough Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Verti is gentle by nature, and usually avoids using force. However, she does sometimes get frantic and desperate, and in such situations she may be rougher with prey in an attempt to get them down faster. She isn't a huge fighter and isn't always terribly opposed to being eaten, so excessive roughness isn't necessary to subdue her in many cases. It can still be used if your character deems it fitting, though.
Gentle Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike As previously stated, she's quite kind under most circumstances. It's rare for her to be violent or forceful, and she's timid enough that she's usually compliant when threatened.
Sex Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Not something the player enjoys. Generally any sort of explicitly sexual content is disliked, and I especially dislike when it's mixed in with vore itself; it kind of ruins it for me. If I ever do write it, it will be flowery and vague.
Pain Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Very unlikely to be involved with scenes on this particular character. A little bit of pain can happen over the course of digestion, but I prefer the prey to fall unconscious before it gets too bad.
Blood Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Similar to the above; a tiny bit can happen where it's natural and suitable, but since Verti is meant for softer scenes, bloodshed has little reason to transpire around her.
Scat Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike I absolutely cannot do this. No exceptions. It makes me extremely uncomfortable, even if it's just implied, so I must insist that it never be mentioned if you wish to play with me. Sorry.
Willing Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Verti is reassured and relieved when her prey are willing to spend a bit of time inside her, and she can easily be coaxed into willingness herself by anyone she finds amiable and trustworthy.
Unwilling Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike She will take unwilling victims if she's frazzled and desperate enough, though. While the Drifblim does seem the type to feel guilty about it, it's not that hard for her to forgive herself when she doesn't plan on hurting them.If jumped or attacked without any warning or explanation, she'll panic as easily as the next person, if not more so. She'll often settle down once she's tucked away, however, unless her assailant is particularly nasty to her.
Micro/Macro Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Definitely enjoyed if Verti is magically made small or happens to encounter someone particularly huge. As a predator, though, micros can't help her because they weigh very little, so she's unlikely to eat them.
Same Size Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike This is what she gravitates toward when seeking meals of her own, thanks to how well someone her own size can ground her. It's loved in both roles no matter what, though; bellies are hard to resist.
Male Partner Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Either gender is totally fine! I love guys.
Female Partner Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike I love girls too! It doesn't matter...
Herm Partner Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike ... except hermaphrodites are iffy. They're often very sex-centric characters, and I have no interest in that. They'll only be considered if they're not 'hyper' and can be played without focusing on their genitalia.
Human Partner Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Humans are adored in both roles. It might be a little extra humiliating for Verti to be eaten by one, but, well... it doesn't matter too much to her as long as she can be calm and cozy.
Demi Partner Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Other demi-humans make a great match for her as well, and are hands-down the player's favorite. In particular, other Pokémon gijinkas are fantastic, especially if they're a little more on the 'demi' side.
Fur Partner Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike While I don't have anything against anthro characters, I almost never feel attracted to them, meaning that I'm unlikely to find them enjoyable partners. They're not out of the question, but chances aren't great.
Verbose Posts Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike I am kind of notorious for writing too much, even when I'm trying not to. I can do shorter scenes on a whim, but prefer longer, more descriptive ones overall. Please be prepared for that when approaching me.
Whisper Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Feel free to whisper me any time (unless I'm set to DND, naturally). Note that if you aren't already a friend and wish to ask about starting a scene, I don't like having my time wasted on formalities. Get to the point.
Public Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike I'll accept approaches in the Vore Room unless I find your character or writing unappealing, in which case it's nothing personal. I have a lot of fun doing spontaneous stuff, but if posts get long, I'll ask to move to private.
Private Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike For any really lengthy or detailed scenes, this is overwhelmingly preferred. I get anxious when my posts become too intrusive, and feel much better just exchanging them one on one.
Object Swallowing Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Conveniently enough, it isn't necessarily just people that will help Verti stay on the ground. Heavy objects can suffice equally well in a pinch, or enough smaller ones to add up...
IC Approaches Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike In public, this is totally okay. In private, please do not whisper me in-character or I'm liable to ignore you. It makes me really uncomfortable to be forced into a scene like that.
Feeding Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike This goes along with my love of food-related stuff, but can apply to pretty much anything and I'll still adore it. Verti is happy to feed other people as well as accept food from those who offer; she's not picky.
Chubby Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike A weakness of mine. In particular, I love chubby predators... which probably explains why this character exists, actually. Chubby prey are great too, but I'm really into them in the predatory role.
Long-Term Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Having the prey contained for multiple days or longer will make me absolutely ecstatic. Verti may do this if her meal is content, and she's often very happy being inside someone else for long stretches of time.
Multi-Prey Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Kinda neutral on this when playing predator; usually two victims are all right, but not more or my suspension of disbelief starts to break. When playing prey, I don't like my character sharing a stomach with others.
Clean Full Tour Always/Love
+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike I like intestines because of how utterly cramped and tight they are, so passing the prey through the whole body appeals to me. That said, it has to be 100% clean, and I won't usually initiate it unless it's brought up.
