The Darksign signifies an accursed Undead. Those branded with it are reborn after death, but will one day lose their mind and go Hollow.

Death triggers the Darksign, which returns its bearer to the last bonfire rested at, but at the cost of all humanity and souls.



The Darksign, the symbol that brands the Undead, the symbol that burns away at your mind, your memories, until nothing remains, and the victim becomes nothing more than a mindless, feral Hollow, violent, and craving nothing but souls.

Becoming one of the Undead is seen as the ultimate curse... so countless men and women have set out to try and find a cure, searching for a way to stop the slow degradation of their bodies and minds, to find a way to escape the eternal cycle of death and rebirth they find themselves caught in.

Vermillion is no different.

He ventured far and wide to find a cure for his condition, even as his memories began to fade, the male cutting down beasts and Hollows, collecting souls to strengthen himself, and to stave off becoming a Hollow as long as he possibly could. Now, only time will tell if he manages to find a way to break the curse. Will he find a way to return to humanity, or will he become nothing but a mindless, soul-seeking Hollow? Only time will tell.
