It's not easy! People see the wings, the golden hair, the bright blue eyes, and they assume you can do anything every other angel can! But Velkin's not a full angel yet. He's...a squire. A cherub. Young and inexperienced, not nearly as powerful as a full ranked angel, certainly no archangel. Oh, he's got some advantages of the species, but he's a helper, a servant and messenger. You won't see him making miracles, raising the dead, or doing battle with demonic Overlords. Mind, none of this curbs his enthusiasm. He's proud to serve, and does his very best to grow and improve, saving souls and battling evil! Even if this means clearing out infestations of imps, or fetching things for his superiors, or appearing to the summons of paladins lacking in the power to call on something stronger.

Velkin looks like a young man in their mid to late teens, fresh-faced and almost impossibly pure and innocent. As mentioned, his hair (kept tousled and short) is a shining gold, his wide eyes blue. He's not terribly tall yet, five and a half feet, with a healthy and athletic build that isn't quite as defined as it probably will become. He dresses in light clothing that's part uniform, part utility, and more modern than one might expect. Tan shorts, a white shirt with a black tunic over top trimmed with scarlet and gold, fingerless gloves and black hiking boots. At his waist is a cross-shaped sword, very sharp and mildly more painful to anything demonic...he's no fantastic swordsman, lacking experience. Finesse is the sort of thing one learns with time! Sprouting from behind his shoulders are the standard issue fluffy white wings; they look astonishingly soft, and are just that. In the dark they even seem to shimmer as if directly under moonlight, whether he is or not. Hiding these to disguise himself as a human is a skill he has yet to learn...

So what powers does he have? How about the power of flight...that do anything for ya? No, really, he can fly, and quite well. Speed and agility are one of the few things he has going for him, since he isn't powerful physically. He can call forth a gleaming beacon of light, but it's only light, and it takes some energy for him to sustain. If he has enough energy or someone Up There is smiling on him, he may be able to return from physical death (assuming nothing entraps his soul), but this isn't assured; he can't be counted on to take his potential demise casually. If he focuses and isn't too tired, he can perform minor acts of healing or purification upon himself or others.

Can he eat other beings? Yes. Yes he can. Will he? As one might imagine, not frequently. His heart is much too good and kind. Even with his natural enemies, devils and their ilk, he's more likely to attack with his blade than his mouth. But he can, and it is a way to replenish himself if drastically weakened. As for being eaten, to most people, he'd be considered delicious! Sweet, succulent, tender with all that purity.
