Valtoria

193-year-old giantess demi-dragon living off the east side of the northern mountains.

Shrouded in rumors spread across the side of the continent, not much was known about the dragoness as so few with the misfortune of encountering her survived to tell the tale. Those who did manage to escape often embellished the details, favoring a story to spread over facts. However, what is documented on the dragon lays within her massive size and insatiable appetite, often known to attack villages and supply caravans while leaving nothing behind but ruins in her wake.

Valtoria stands at a height of 223ft (65m) and has an “unnatural” light green color to her hair. She has powerful wings, a stout tail, and is coated in occasional rock-like scales that appear more frequently around her draconic features such as her wings and tail.

In terms of personality, Valtoria may not be directly malicious and destructive but she plays only by her own rules. She is also lacking in the knowledge of most humans but makes up for it in her intelligence, in spite of her lack of manners. She usually sees little in the humans she comes across, often time making them nothing more than a snack or a simple thing to toy with but after decades of observing her interest in them grew. She recognizes some are more important than others and takes advantage of that fact by often targeting royalty, nobles, knights, mages, and other rich folk she may come across as she finds toying with the “powerful” ones the most fun. She takes pleasure in collecting the many things she takes from human caravans, whatever isn’t food at least. She stores all that she takes around her home in a “hoard”. Dragon hunters seeking to slay the beast and adventurers looking to steal the treasures that lay in her hoard alike have led Valtoria to be territorial over the course of a century, forcing out any attempts at expansion of human civilization into what she has taken to be her “territory”. This has led many to fall victim to her habits just for straying a little too far, even those who were unaware of her existence to begin with.
