Most Ishmites are quite proud of their noble heritage. Catriona seems to be right on the edge of taking it on in the arena and splattering it all over the sand.

Catriona was a brat from a young age, never able to sit still, never able to hold her tongue. The noble life didn't sit too well with her. So she drifted away from it, beginning with hanging out with commonborn and starting fights left and right, and now coming to the point of rarely returning home and constantly slandering her name with shameful displays in the arena.
