In the deepest depths of the ocean, far from where sunlight can even reach; lurks a multitude of creatures humans have yet to understand.
In the places even Light won't go, there are creatures who look back at the humans, and shake their heads in wonder.
In those crushing depths, where no land dweller could survive without a suit or other aid, lurks the Angler Fish.
A Primal creature that lures its prey towards it by dangling treats just in front of their mouth, waiting for them to make the fatal mistake of trusting them.
Valindra is, and isn't like most Anglerfish one would meet; assuming they could make it down into those depths at all.
She comes across as indifferent, but that is just an act. Inwardly she's hypersensitive to emotions, for in those depths; all
you really had were emotions with which to relate to someone else with. Looks didn't matter, sex didn't matter.. all was made moot
by the crushing depths except for how brightly ones soul shone within it. Or if they had lots of little glowy bits they wave about~


Valindra is sweet usually, when warranted though she can become vicious; even cruel. Most of the time she is very easy going,
prefering to keep to herself and those she trusts rather than making new friends. As such, when first meeting her, most think she
is either uninterested, or sometimes even outright dismissive. This simply isn't true, she grew up in an area wherein
there were no social cues; no etiquette. You were as you were, accepted or not; and no offense was intended by doing so.
She quickly adjusts her behavior if this is pointed out, for despite being from the depths; there is a reason she chooses to come
to the surface.
Those reasons she keeps to herself, but there are a few things easily told by simply seeing her. She's tall for a woman, no doubt
standing at just over eight feet in height when on her tip toes. Her weight is up for grabs, it changes a lot pending whos' sloshing
about in her semi-transparent stomach. She seems to enjoy keeping someone in there for extended periods of time, often swallowing
both air and sustenance to keep them alive. But none can recall seeing what happens to someone when she takes them from the
surface and into her dark, crushing world of the oceans' depths. Her scales are smooth, very much so to enable her to swim
as fast as possible. It has an almost smooth leathery feel, as if highly oiled at all times. She also has an articulated, unhinging
jaw like the rest of her species, enabling her to devour prey much larger than one would think looking at her..


She can be found near lakes connected to the wider oceans, streams, rivers, or even within the depths themselves. Very rarely
one can catch her on the surface; tasting the air and usually a few other things before she retires to her watery home.
It isn't recommended to comment too much about the scent of fish, or about her current occupant (or lack thereof).. Less you'd like
to become part of either.

Within her world, her species has adapted many ways of keeping those who do manage to make an emotional connection to them
safe and sound. If she were to swallow an intended mate/friend, she would not digest them; instead keep them within her translucent
stomach. She swallows air straight from the water around her, processed via her gills, into her stomach; keeping her quarry alive and well.
She's been known to swallow other animals, foods, water and even toys to keep her occupants happy. Her womb is also a wild place,
with her body being able to keep an occupant of that chamber alive for days, if not weeks at a time. The ambient fluids within her
womb provide sustenance in all its forms, from oxygen to actual viable nutrition. Its very rare for someone to make it into that
particular part of her body, but if one does.. know she must trust you very deeply, if not outright love you. This is Not
something she will ever do on a first, second, perhaps even third encounter. It takes genuine friendship and trust for her to
want to keep someone around, literally inside of her, for that length of time.
