Appearance:
Valerie is a very large woman, standing over seven feet tall, and is built like a bear. She has a rather large scar covering much of the left side of her face, from her mouth to her ear. Her long black hair is either left flowing behind her, or tied in a ponytail.

Personality:
A selfless but cautious sort, she tries to use her brain just as much as her brawn. She will often consider the big picture, and while not uncaring, she will often side with logic over emotion.

Story:
An archaeologist and engineer, Valerie is the brains of the family. When she's not deep in the catacombs of some ancient ruin, she is tinkering with robotics and making them better. She is also a carpenter and mason, and has built many a house and bridge.

She spent nearly eighty years as a vampire, after falling prey to one as a teenager in her homeland of Morrowind. After being cured, she contracted a disease known as Corpus. She was partially cured of this, but not fully, leaving her with an immunity to diseases, many toxins, and most forms of biological and chemical weapons. It also makes her immortal.

That is not to say she is invincible, however. She can be shot, stabbed, or even digested like any other person. She simply does not age. This leaves her often sad, as she will usually outlive her family by hundreds of years.
