Physical Description

Vaer stands at about 6 feet tall, with a medium athletic build. He is covered in scales, varying in size, and gold in color, intermixed with silver striations along his head, back, arms, legs and tail. His neck and underbelly are a dark gold in color.

His head is elongated into a snout, the top of which is covered in hard plates, with two nostrils at either side towards the front. Farther along two the back of his head, sprouts two back swept, slightly gnarled horns about a foot and a half long each. Resting between his horns and beginning at his forehead is a line of webbed spines, which he can raiser and lower at will, this continues down to the base of his neck. Just below his horns, and just a little farther forwards are his ear frills. These frills are mobile, and can be moved up and down, opened and closed to increase or decrease the amount of sound filtering into them. His eyes are blue, angled forward like a predator's. The pupils are reptilian slits. Above his eyes is a ridge of hard plates, for protection.

Nearing his mouth, the scales get smaller, until they are very fine in size around his lips, for easy articulation. Lining his jawline on either side is a series of 6 hornlets. Inside his mouth, he has a series of incisors in the front, along the top and bottom, behind them is a series of four fangs, and just beyond those are molars, a definite sign of human blood flowing in his veins. His mouth flesh is blue in color, with a long pointed tongue resting at the floor.

Continuing down his body, his neck is covered in larger scales than those around his mouth, with his neck being protected by larger but softer plates, which continue down along his chest, belly, crotch and tail. His arms are proportionate to his size, the outside of which is lined with hard plates, while the inside has softer ridges. His hands consist of four fingers, and a thumb, each ending in a two inch long claw. Very little musculature is shown beneath the plates along his front.

Growing from his back, along where his shoulder blades would be is a pair of large wings, kept folded when not in use, but unfolded they have a 14 foot wingspan, with the membranes continuing down towards his lower back. However, he may at will absorb his wings into the rest of his body if they get in the way.

From his backside grows his tail, which is about four feet long, and covered with hard scales. The tail ends at a point, with no special bone protrusion.

Vaer stands on two digitigrade legs, the outside of which is covered with hard plates, and the inside of which has softer ridges. His feet have three large toes each, all ending in four inch long claws.

Clothing

Vaer doesn't often wear much in the way of clothes, as his natural anatomy doesn't reveal much in the way of private bits. But when he does wear clothes, it's often in the form of some sort of sleeveless leather tunic, and loose leather shorts. For combat, he will often wear plate armor, strapped directly onto himself, rather than wearing any other sort of armor beneath it.

Personality

Vaer at first introduction is a reserved individual, polite and to the point. But this facade melts away as he grows comfortable around the other individual(s). Once he's comfortable around someone, they see that he is a very laid back person, with a very open mindset. He rather enjoys hanging out with friends and interacting with them. Although he does speak his mind at times, he doesn't intentionally upset others.

Among friends however, his reserved facade does take a backseat. Meeting new people, while also around friends is when he will be relaxed on the first meeting, and one would quickly find him to be quite easy to get along with.

Though there is a time when he needs to be serious, and when his friends are threatened, his anger is easily roused. He cares for his friends, and isn't afraid to show it. Though, his compassion for his friends often comes at the cost of his own safety at times, but often this half dragon is prepared for it.

Those he calls friends are also the ones he trusts to not harm him, and hopefully they feel the same towards him. Although he does devour some, he will also devour friends if they are willing. However, should he eat a friend, they would or should know they are perfectly safe with him. He would also be semi-willing to allow one of his larger friends to devour him as well.

Though, at times he isn't in the mood to cultivate friends and instead is simply hungry. When he is in one of these moods, he will seek out and devour small prey, which can easily fit within his jaws. Failing that, he can use magic to make someone fit...
