Vaelindragosa

A territorial dragoness who spent years in hibernation, once she awoke to see how the land around her had changed, she felt only one emotion; Outrage. Where once a beautiful forest had thrived and a crystalline lake spread wide its rivers, now sat a city and a small park. Despite her earnest attempts to destroy the blight upon the land, it always seemed to come back bigger and more mind-bogglingly noisy than before. After years of cycling destruction/reconstruction, the dragoness withdrew from her old ways and attempted to at least tolerate her new 'neighbors', but that did not mean they had a free pass too trespass upon her domain. Having claimed the crystaline cave networks located deep within the labyrinthian mountains of the North, she would occasionally make forays into the last remaining bastions of natural growth in the face of the growing metropolis, the Park.

While usually hostile when approached by 'city-rats', she has learned to temper her distaste for their lifestyles by limiting her aggression to haughty insults and double-handed remarks as to their scents. Being a dragoness, her senses were far more powerful than most creatures upon this world; perhaps leading to her reason of hating the aggressive expansion of the city into the natural world. The rauchous noise of traffic and the heavy scent of burning oil plagued her heightened senses, and she absolutely hated the abhorrent taste of manufactured colognes and perfumes. She prefers natural scents, and is usually quite friendly to those who dwell in harmony with nature. However, her personal enviromental tastes aside, there are several things to remember when dealing with a dragoness like her..

Above anything, be polite. Nothing ensures your quick trip into her stomach like being disrespectful of herself or others in her presence. Manners are a big deal to her, and introductions are considered a formal matter in her mind. This extends to all she treats with, socially, not just herself. She is not the type to let someone slight another in the presence of others. She does not often treat with 'lesser races', but when she chooses too, it pays to be considerate of the fact that she could probably annihilate not only you; but everything else within the vicinity as well. Challenging her territory or inquiring about her hoard is also a taboo subject, and a sure way to end up either flattened or swallowed; and possibly in pieces depending on the degree of infraction. All this being considered, she does treat other dragons with a certain measure of inherent respect; seeing them all as kindred amidst the onslaught of industry. This natural courtesy also extends to local nobles and rulers, especially those who treat their citizens with respect while keeping them under heel should their axes become too hungry with the forests' ageless splendor. All in all, keep to the golden rule, if you would like respect, treat her with some.

While some do not need a specification to understand the degree of size a fully grown dragoness can become, few others have been able to achieve the feat of measuring her without mysteriously losing that information, and often their lives, in the process. Therefore, landmarks are a good indication with which to grasp her size in concerns to a normal human. A typical human stands no higher than her largest talon, the middle on both her forepaws and hind, though some can reach up to her ankle. A normal tree reaches to about her sternum while she is on all fours, and barely reaches up to her groin when she rears upon her hind legs. Her tail could accurately be measured as being the rough length of four city blocks, with the base being wider than the thiny tapered tailtip with its razorlike spines. When her wings spread, she could easily envelope two entire football fields between them. Her head is roughly the size of a single city block, and her fangs are roughly the size of a average mans' torso. This does not include her slicing incisors, which reach a length akin to that of a small car. Her body, while thin for a dragon and an indication as to her sex, is roughly three city blocks in length and nearly as wide as a single one.
