The Sun:
Everyone knows the sun is a symbol of life, light, divine and holy power. It is seen as good and pure and a harbringer of hope and happiness. However, the sun also has a dark and evil side to it. The sun burns, scorches and bleaches those who defy it. The sun consumes all, and expels killing energies all over the world. It's heat is merciless and deadly in the desert. The sun shows no mercy to those who would challenge it. What most see as an angelic, celestial object is really an angry, demonic ball of gas, filled with dark hatred and evil energies beneath that glowing, holy surface. The sun has it's angels and cherubin to encourage it's worship and keep people convinces of it's purity and goodness; but the sun also has it's demons whose purpose is to concealsthe sun's evil nature from it's unsuspecting worshippers, lest they learn the trueth and some other god to pray to. And it is from among these demons that Uketsuko is plucked from the bowels of hell to serve the sun's twisted, narcisistic goals.

Story:
Her family name is written using the kanji for "Sun," "Guardian Spirit," and "Demon." Her given name is written using the characters for "Feather," "Blood," and "Child;" Her name spoke of her inescapable birth right. Her clan have done the sun's bidding since time immemorial. Pulled from the fiery pits of hell and plunged into the searing core of the sun to purify and temper her body to walk in daylight and stand unhindered in the presence of angels. The sun bestowed a gift upon the raven demon when it touched her, a weapon with which she would visit the sun's wrath upon those who would seek it's dark secrets and those heathens who would not worship its greatness. She is the latest "Praetor Solaris Daemonia," as her mother was before her. Now, Uketsuko wanders the globe, causing death, drought, wildfires, protecting the temples to the dark sun and their galleries, all the while seeking out vengeance and the one who destroyed her mother in combat. Her only lead as yet being to scour the worlds of angels, demons, and mortals for any sign of her mother's solar gift; such a powerful trophy would undoubtedly remain in the hands of her mother's slayer. When Uketsuko does finally find those responsible for her being made the present Praetor, she will put her solar gifts to use like never before.

Personality: When the Sun pulled Uketsuko from the flames of hell and plunged her into it's own inferno, it resculpted her mind as well as her body into something more befitting a servant of the Sun. Being made a bit more disciplined, self-restrained and more noble than your average demon. She nolonger has the urge to manipulate and decieve for the simple sake of doing so. She has no need of such petty tricks, now her urges are for wrath, destruction, and being a shining example of why the Sun is not to be slighted. Compared to her bretherins and sisterin in hell, Uketsuko might be said to have certain angelic qualities. A stable temperment, a truthfulness and honesty to her ways, but make no mistake, she is still a demon, and still seeks to cause suffering, torment, and sorrow in the mortal worlds. She just goes about it now in a manner according to the Sun's will. Her kindness and protection is afforded only to those who worship the Sun or it's darker aspect. Still, much like the Sun itself, Uketsuko's rage and anger is intense and unforgiving. Her ferocity and veracity in sating her temper is matched only in the devout way she attends to her duties as the Sun's Praetor. It should be noted that although the Sun has "purified" Uketsuko in its own malicious way, she is still a raven demon and as such, hates all crows and their kin. Crows with their yellow legs and beak are often confused for ravens, who pride themselves on their compleltely black coloring, are bigger, and consider themselves much smarter than the lowly crows. The bloody rivalry between the two clans burns even more fiercely in Uketsoko's soul now that she has become the Praetor. Over 600 years is along time ofr a demon to be out of hell, and that has started to have an effect on Ukestuko. After seeing the beauty and peace of the mortal world and the heavens above, Uketsuko has begun longing to no longer be a demon. She has started to long to stay out of hell and forsake her demonic nature, even if to become a mere mortal; but she knows that she can't change what she really is.

Corrupted:
Uketsoko shed's the light and purity of The Sun; this makes her seem as if cast in shadow even in direct sunlight. Her eyes and her Demon's Eye glow like hot coals, while the Ra-gun on her right arm glows with searing heat. The smell of sulfer and burning flesh emmenates from her while ash and soot fall from her body with every movement. Each of her footsteps scortch the ground she walks on. Her solar powers are gone while in this form, but her demonic powers are strengthened nearly a dozen fold. Even the brightest of lights, shined directly at Uketsuko while in the form leaves her in shadow, as if the light itself bends around her to shroud her in unholy darkness. Alogn with The Sun's light and purity having been shed, the discipline and honor instilled in Uketsuko from being the Praetor is also shed. She becomes wild, random, violent, consumed with hate and anguish at all living things, especially those with a holy nature. Touching Uketsuko bare handed while she's in this form will afflict the offender with burns as if they had thrust their hands into roaring flames. She knows no mercy or kindness or honor, self control as she wields her powers for destruction for it's own sake.

Hell Raven: This is Uketsuko's true form, though now she bears the marks of having been touched by The Sun. She appears as an enourmous and hellishly twisted raven with four wings. She has pitch black feathers which appear to be slightly greasy from being recently splashed with blood. She's about the size of rottwieller and stands upon three legs arranged triangularly beneath her body, the center leg being slightly inback of the other two. The left leg appears to be a normal raven's leg, though large enough for Uketsuko's size. The center leg seems to be encased in armor as this was the leg The Sun had grabbed her by. The right leg looks as if it is made of solid gold and burns as if hot. She has three blood red eyes, the middle one with the eyelids torn off; beneathe those she has two black beaks side-by-side to eachother. The beaks seem jagged, chipped, cracked, and filled with razorsharp, triangular teeth. She smells of char and sulfer while clouds of ash and soot fall from her body and wings with every movement.
