Tyranon

Tyranon doesn’t appear overly exceptional for a troglodyte; his usually slouched stance suggests a feral nature about him common amongst his kind, though his eyes sparkle with an intelligence that few suspect the creatures capable of possessing. Any that would entertain the reptile would find him perfectly capable of common tongue, almost remarkably so, and his proficiency in armed combat suggests a capability to learn far surpassing that of his swamp dwelling kin. Even the usual stench surrounding the reptiles is completely lacking from this one; whether it has been deliberately masked or somehow removed entirely is difficult to discern. Physically, he obviously takes care of himself. His form is not overly muscular, but still maintains a toned and trained suppleness to it. Every now and then, he can be seen standing completely erect, where his height would be found at 6'4" (193 cm). However, his stance usually puts him slightly lower, nearer to mid-five feet. His scales keep the dull green color of his kin, but have a groomed and polished sheen to them, and very few grow crooked or out of place. His belly scutes bear a few cracks and chips from previous fights, but nothing that would strike an observer as crippling or overly scarred.

Despite these subtle charms above your average troglodyte and similar reptilian humanoids, Tyranon isn’t exactly the most pleasant of creatures. Those who interact with him on his best days would find him to be warm and amicable, but only until his arrogance eventually showed itself. There are few things that other creatures have to impress him with beyond a show of power or dominance, and those that fail to impress him are rarely regarded highly. Many failed attempts to best him in armed combat have ended with him feasting upon the loser, where another key distinction between him and fellow lizardmen might be made obvious: Tyranon’s jaw is able to separate a tremendous distance, and it’s not unknown for him to be able to ingest prey several times his size, if needed. Perhaps some day will come when he will feel the bitter taste of defeat, but he clearly believes that day will never come.
