A world like but unlike our own.
Split into three distinct nations and also some other locations, the world of Tritia is a land of intrigue and also opportunity.
The story of the formation of Mekanar goes that long ago, inside deep space, a species of technologically sophisticated spacefaring humanoids attempted to attack a dragon who had been sleeping in the ruins of an old colony. The Eraser Dragon at first merely ignored their shots, passing it off as idiocy. When their shots began to sting, she opened her black eyes and fired back, erasing most of the armada in a heartbeat. She robbed them of their weapons, and then their shields, and then their ships of their flight, and when they crashed down beside her, she told them: "I shall return again, and when I do, we'll see if you can fare any better~" The very same beams of oblivion that had destroyed their army were then applied to the land around her, terraforming it into the shape it is today, and leaving an enormous statue of herself in her wake as she flew away towards a large tower barely visible in the distance. And thus the land today builds and prepares with every day for the return of the Eraser Dragon, Nah, and the battle they have been promised...
The nation of Mekanar consists of futuristic technology. One producing weapons, studying everything science, and with a machine that produces mass from energy as its armory...and deep below its surface sleeps their greatest weapon yet, a robot that highly resembles Flandre Scarlet and is completely impervious to magic. If you wish to find the ruler, you must be able to fly, as she lives in a pocket dimension of cube biomes. Entire civilizations live and thrive and die inside the labs of Mekanar.
Mekanar is an amoral land which believes entirely in the advancement of science. Nothing is more important than the sciences, and the only crime is not doing it. Murder? A study of force upon the body to determine lethality. A-OK. Citizens have body clones within their homes if they can afford them. Weaponry such as shrink rays are sold at corner stores...and guests...? They are likely to wind up in an experiment. Watch...your...back.Once, there was ruined ground. Destroyed in the battle with the people who came to form Mekanar and the Eraser Dragon, the land seemed cursed to remain forever fallow, with not a single sign of life. Then, came the strides of another dragon, one humming with the power of mana. The Magic Dragon's footfalls breathed life into the dying land, saturating it with magical energy as she strode around to examine the damage her sister had done. The Magic Dragon, Runa, was not without vanity, however, and also created a statue in her likeness from the earth she stood upon. When her handiwork was complete, she, too, flew away to the Tower. And thus was Sarkene revitalized and energized with the very magic they use today...
The nation of Sarkene is the land of magic. Deep within the archives of the library is said to be a spell to take you to the dimension of one who embodies the properties of all 3 nations...but no one has ever proven it to be true. Much like Mekanar, though, this place has its dark secrets. A forest which has no end, a well with a horror at the bottom, and the many, many places that are bigger on the inside mean visitors should be careful, lest they wind up a pet to one of the magic beings.
Sarkene is home to most of the fantasy tropes. Magic running wild, check. Mages' guilds? Check. Fantasy tropes? Check. Adventures, caves, dragons, elves, fey....it's all here, in the loose, wild, and unexplored reaches of Sarkene...
The eldest of the three dragons, the Space Dragon, Astra looked upon the works of the other two, who she considered as daughters, with something resembling jealousy. However, the Space Dragon was also a very lazy individual, who did not act with anything resembling maturity. Instead of using her power over space to terraform the land or start a civilization from scratch, she reached out into the boundless worlds between dimensions and uprooted a modern civilization in her claws, placing them none too carefully upon a third continent, which would become known as Reshnu, and finding someone she deemed interesting enough to rule over it to thrust into the seat of power. And so the Space Dragon staked her own civilization to join in watching with her counterparts.
Finally, we round off the main 3 with the land of Reshnu, the world most similar to our own. Electricity is king, the economy is booming...and the inhabitants are relatively normal. The leader of the town, some say, is no native at all. Rumor has it he's a grump who barely does anything and his 'humble maid' has all the real power. Some say he was appointed by the very goddess who spirited Reshnu to its current location. Do not break the law here. The penalty could be more than you are prepared to pay.
Reshnu, as the closest world to ours, has a similar problem. The police force there are corrupt, offenders are frequently imprisoned and the worst ones are banished into Lakigashere, never to return...and that is a fate worse than death in many ways...
For every world has a hidden darkness, and Tritia’s has coalesced into a hidden 4th continent called Lagikashere, located just parallel dimensionally to Reshnu...
Lagikhsere: Lagikhsere is a land of nightmares and lovecraftian horror. Within Lagikhsere is an infernal portal leading to and from the Netherealm.
Lagikhsere, to humans, may as well be the Shadowrealm. Full of alien geometry and monstrous beings, the ruler of this land is a powerful demoness who doesn't take shit from heroes and enjoys crushing them beneath her heel after taking all they hold dear. She is rumored to have a power to control chaos and a sword that gives her the power to create or erase anything.
Within the Netherealm lurks beings demonic and infernal, whereas Lagikhsere is the home to those eldritch and abyssal.
The Netherrealm is a not-very-thinly veiled Disgaea reference, and you may treat it as essentially Disgaea's demon world.
At the center of all, a tower rises to the sky, upon its top, the Dragons watch over the world they have created, and occasionally, they leave the world to play elsewhere.
A Triforce of the past, the present, and the future.
A Triforce of magic, electricity, and technomancy.
A Triforce of the natural, the digital, and the supernatural.
Welcome to a thrice balanced world.
Welcome to Tritia.
