Even though he comes from an impeccable purebread lineage, he's a bit of a rebel. He doesn't want to be mommy and daddy's perfect little heir.
While he benefits considerably from their money and influence, he tries to distance himself from them; it gets old having everyone see you as your father's son instead of as an individual.
So, he avoids giving out his last name, and 'works' as the lead singer for a small and unsuccessful band. Their obscurity helps keep him from being identified.
It does not help pay the bills. But he has his stomach for that! The husky is an experienced predator who grew up with the luxury of being able to eat most anyone he wanted, protected from consequences by his parents.
So, after a lackluster performance it's pretty common to see him leaving the venue with some starstruck girl he chatted up... only to show up the next morning for practice with a big gut and a purse full of cash. Glorrrp~
Even when he's not strapped for cash, Tristan occasionally snacks on people he thinks look tasty.
After all, what cute catgirl wouldn't be better off as husky stomach slosh? In keeping with his rebellious attitude, the more forbidden a meal, the harder he'll pursue it...
