I wanna be the very best... Like no one ever was... "...God dammit, why can't I get that song out of my head!?"
This cheerful lad we have here is Touya. In case you haven't noticed, he's a Pokemon trainer. Specifically, a Pokemon trainer from the far-off region known as Unova. He does what most trainers do these days: catch some Pokemon, challenge Pokemon Gyms, collect badges, etc. ...Though, nowadays there's not much for him to do, other than train to battle the Elite Four and the Champion. Difficulty spikes are a bitch, and even though he managed to stop (or at least pause) Team Plasma's plot, when the time came to challenge the Elite for real, he was massively outclassed. Nevertheless, he always keeps a positive attitude as he and Bao, his trusty Simisear, venture all across Unova, and recently decided to explore the other regions after receiving a few unfamiliar Pokemon from far-away trades.
During their adventures, Touya and Bao found themselves in a weird building, where they came across a shady group of people in lab coats forcing some Pokemon into a machine. Seeing that the poor Pokemon were in pain, and seemed to be mutating, Touya jumped into action to rescue them. With Bao keeping the workers distracted, Touya smashed open the machine with a pipe he found nearby, helped the Pokemon out of the machine, and escaped from the building with them while the workers were occupied with preventing the machine from exploding. Once the entire mess had passed, the three Pokemon were grateful for Touya's courageous act, and as a show of thanks, decided to join him on his quest.
The machine had transformed the three Pokemon, a Snivy, a Tepig, and an Oshawott, into humanoid forms. However, due to being released from the machine earlier than what required, they have the ability to revert back to their normal Pokemon forms, which is very useful for battles.
This is Touya's little gang, seeing the sights, making new friends, and getting into all sorts of crazy (...or sexy) misadventures, unaware that they're possibly being watched by that sinister organization, and their mysterious leader...
...Oh? What do we have here?

Bao is Touya's first Pokemon, given to him as a Pansear by his mother when he was a kid. He was more or less a pet until Touya was old enough to start his Pokemon adventure, where instead of receiving a starter from the local professor, Touya stuck with Bao.
Bao is a fairly tough Pokemon, but is a bit lazy, shown by making use of Rest and Yawn. Even with his's laziness, he's a loyal companion to Touya.
After evolving, though, Bao seem a little less lazy, and a little nervous about his new appearance, unsure if anyone finds him cute anymore.

Tarja is the 'Smug Snake' of the trio, pun intended. She's incredibly snarky and stuck-up, practically proclaiming herself a princess. She tends to order the others around, even Touya and Bao! But, when in battle, she still obeys Touya out of respect...and maybe slight infatuation... Also, as she's technically a snake, she has a nasty habit of devouring the poor trainers they defeat in battle. Touya trying his best to make her stop, but he's not making much progress...
Now that she's become a Serperior, her attitude's been cranked up, and she's calling herself an all-out queen. She's still loyal to Touya, but doesn't hesitate to flirt with her new adult body.

Kabu's a hot-headed, hot-blooded go-getter that loves to jump into battle. Sure, he's not very strong, but he doesn't quit and toughs it out to the end. He looks up to Touya like an older brother, and the two have become quite close, which leads to Tarja making yaoi jokes, which in turn sets Kabu off. Kabu's special in that he inherited the move 'Superpower' from his father (whoever the hell that is). He's also occasionally referred to as 'teh pig'.
