If you play Animal Crossing, you probably know who this guy is. Tom Nook is the animal crossing variant of a debt collector. He owns his own store, a construction company, and owns a good number of houses up for sale.

In the Nexus, he's maintained that buisiness model and owns a good chunk of housing so chances are if you're renting a house, you're more or less in this guys debt. He's polite, chubby Tanuki, and usually patient when it comes to his patrons paying off their debts but that said...he can have a mischevous side. Refuse to pay your debt for an extended time and he might collect that debt in other ways...not all of them pleasant.


Don't let that intimidate you though! Feel free to say hello to Tom! He might be able to help you out of a bind, find you a good home, so long as you keep up on your payments!
