Thresh

Height: A whole foot tall! OF AMAZING~!
Weight: Negligible. When he isn't actively using magic he weighs but a half a pound. But normally, magic keeps him so light flowers may not even move when he lands on them.
Flavor: Tastes -exactly- like a chocolate covered after dinner mint! Just don't chew. >//>

Dancing about in a field, humming a delightful little tune, you can see a small speck of light. It's a little fairy, and he hasn't noticed you yet! He seems to be picking up lightning bugs and giving them a little shake, for some strange reason, setting them to glow. It smiles as one seems to glow juuuust right. Suddenly, it turns, and gasps, having spotted you. Clutching it's perfect lightning bug like a teddy bear, with wide green eyes, it looks up.

"U-uhm... I'm Thresh. Nice to meet you?"

It's wings flutter, as it floats up to eye level.

Thresh is a boy! Yes, a boy. He'll even lift up his dress just to prove it to people! He's dressed so strangely, well... it takes a bit of explaining.

There are lots of tales of human children being stolen away by fair folk. Taken away to the lands of fairies, their masters or mistress' doing damn well whatever they like with them for many years. Thresh is one such human child, stolen by a sluagh, a woman whom speaks in only whispers, and hosting black feathered wings of a raven.

There, well, unspeakable tortures and horrors awaited him. Giving him more then a... well, then a few complexes. But at least she taught him all about being a fairy. ... as well as being a 'proper little girl'. Too bad his Mistress never saw that whole dracolich plan was going to end poorly, and smush her. Leaving Thresh... free to escape! Too bad upon re-entering the real world, he was forever changed. A foot tall, winged, and... well he never did get over that not wearing a dress should not cause physical pain to his stomach and headaches.

With no Mistress, and nothing else to do, Thresh decided that if he can't live with humans, well... he'd live with his half-kin. The fairies! Appointing himself a star fairy, after so many years locked in a tower with only a beautiful night sky to fill him with hope for his future, what else could the boy ever want to truly create. Sure, he's afforded other duties here and there, as nature sees fit. Like feeding starving and rare species, or painting leaves in the autumn. And honestly, after viewing humans in their habitats, and their lack-luster ways of living, he couldn't be happier to be what he is now!

He is very good at what he does! Being a star fairy, he selects the finest lightning bugs, and places them in the sky as stars! He also does this for wandering souls of pure heart, because they make the best stars of all! Thresh is known for being quite lucky and skilled in star making, taking one of these wandering souls, and spilling them across the sky to twinkle forever.

So he works tirelessly, all night long, except on the weekends. Picking up lil buggies and giving them a shake, to see just how bright they can glow...

So just how strange is he? He cries like a girl, giggles like a girl. He even sleeps in piles of flowers, so he smells like a girl! And what's even stranger? If he becomes too depressed, he dies... that's right. He can't cope with what is happening, and will die, his innocence being more then just a character trait. A fairy has to be pure, and loved. Or else it dies.

But that's alright. Because Thresh is so unusually full of cheer, random distractions, and spinning loops of thoughts, that it takes a great deal to make him truly depressed. He's just too scatter-brained to get stuff!

Thresh keeps a pet lightning bug. The little guy was sad that he wasn't ready to become a star, so sometimes Thresh carries him about and feeds him, trying to help the little bug grow up strong. Thresh calls the bug 'Flick'

Flick is... well, uniquely large for a lightning bug. Along the size of a cricket, thanks to Thresh habitually feeding the thing, and granting him warmth through the seasons that a lightning bug should, well, really die through.

Thresh gets into /all/ sorts of mischief. It's just his ways. He isn't mean spirited, he just... enjoys having fun is all. As such, people can often find themselves in... predicaments around the little fairy. Spontaneously swelling up to serve as a fun living balloon, or being tickled and teased, or being transformed. He'll usually stop if it seems people /really/ don't want it, but if left to his own devices, well... he's just Thresh~
