Dridder come in all shapes and colours but none are as thicc and massive as Thera.
With a large appetite Aswell that doesn't sound like a friendly neighbour spider at all.
Nor giving you a vampiric kiss if she does not feel like eating you entirely.
You would think she is this massive because of her carnivorous diet but no.. not entirely that is.
She as you maybe be able to guess from her looks she is demon perhaps even an oni..
After a race of small insects dabbled in magic they eventually will reach it dark cryptic corners.
A tarantula egg get invaded by dark magic or perhaps corrupted by a demon soul.
Either way the egg get corrupted one way or another the how is not all that relevant.
The spider hatches but looks quite different to the others in her country mostly because she was quite taller.
This made her become an outcast bullied and yelled at some even feared her, Painting her as a bad omen.
Evntually leading her to be exiled from the kingdom
She just left feeding off by drinking blood by biting cows and the like starting out as a big tick
Overtime she grew even taller.... to tall too go back home tho she likely will be rejected anyway.
She broke soon afterward and give in to her dark side becoming a full fledged demon... Well a spider demon that is..

She now lives in an old fortress like those bunkers you might see on a hill. Not quite a castle.. basically a much smaller one.
She does not live alone those who worship her followed her. Thera being empathic to her kind brought them in her small castle.
This resulted in the castle getting even more covered in cobwebs giving it a very haunting look.
