Known only within cult folklore as 'The Shadow', a dark spirit controls the very essence of what we call a nightmare. However, it has a much more horrofic use for its powers.
Deemed a man by those who have managed to survive an encounter with 'him', due to an overwhelming number of attacks on women and a generally male form in his personas, The Shadow induces a person's greatest fear within a nightmare, only to force them awake where he will appear in physical form, taking the appearance of whatever was the source of fear within the nightmare.
The Shadow is rendered powerless in light, the few survivors of his acts having just barely escaped due to others in the house turning lights on to head to the toilet, or such other very lucky scenario. The rest, however, end up becoming The Shadow's toy for the night, where he will enact his lustful desires on them before devouring them, absorbing them into himself. Each woman he eats further increases his power over the darkness, allowing him to retain a physical form within it for a short while, and he hopes one day he will overcome his weakness to light as well.
OOC info: This character is designed purely as a pred, and will specifically target women. Males and herms are okay, but not the focus for the character. Sex is mandatory, although any type of vore is fine. The Shadow wants characters who are totally unwilling, so no meals trying to give themselves to him.
