A piece of Alts_Worth_A_Hoot scripture

Father Gabriel A. Lucy, at any given time and in any given place, is likely the purest man on the block. He's the spitting image of someone who's thoroughly studied scripture - orderly, clearly discplined, yet far from cold-hearted. Quite far, in fact - so far that most realtors move away from his town just because his intensive charity ends up messing with their "intelligent business strategies".

Or, at least, he was, til' a point in time nobody can exactly place - likely on the midnight or in the dawn after a remarkably unremarkable day.

The story told by most goes as follows;

Mr. Lucy was up trying to sort out a local dispute between a few feuding groups in his otherwise quiet town, but he eventually got tired of thinking over the matter and went for a stroll to clear his head. No one was up in or around his dwellings - at least no one he knew - so he saw nothing wrong with it.

The situation would've proceeded normally, had it not been for a certain handsome stranger's appearance.

The physical descriptions of the stranger don't quite matchup with each other likely due to the time, visibility, and general proximity anybody who wasn't Gabriel or the stranger had to the situation, but they all paint a picture of what he was - something other than human, or at least an outsider. Some quirks - like an odd stride, a voice coming from alien chords, and lack of knowledge about little tidbits only Rosewood natives would know - tipped off the one insomniac roamer who had the sense in his brain to speak up about it and get other eyewitnesses to too.

Mr. Lucy met up with this odd stranger, and they seem to have had a nice little chat before shaking hands and parting ways.

Two days later, a good bit of one of the feuding groups was determined to be missing, with no trail to speak of telling where they may have gone off to. Mr. Lucy was also described to be acting oddly, displaying hunger and desire unusual for a man in his position, despite attempts to keep composure. His figure was also...more full, as one of the local churchgoers described it.

The little town of Rosewood was confused, to say the least.

If they knew that the handsome stranger was Beelzebub in the flesh, the chat about Mr. Lucy's troubles, and the handshake consent for the "boon" this "Mosco F. Lynch" was going to give Gabriel to help deal with his current and future problems, they might've been a little less confused initially and a little more...vigilant.
