The_Net

Part of Alts_of_the_World

Another alt inspired by some dreams I had.

The Net is a digital world RPG game that some company made for the younger generation, they added vore as something into the game for whatever reason.

First off, this is a setting that takes place inside a fully digital world, similar to the .hack series. Second, this alt was built with group play in mind. Doesn't have to be, but people seem to like getting eaten in dungeons or whatever else I can think of.

Entering the Net

When you log in for the first time you'll meet this woman....

Her name is Chiyo...

She is the goddess of the realm you are about to go adventuring around in. Best ask all of the questions you can think of when you see her, you won't get to ask her anything afterwards because she send you into the first of three main towns.

The towns all have Inns, shops, gathering areas. All of this looking like a techno medieval feel to it. Organized groups of both NPCs and PCs exist, and they can work towards to getting a special area for their private uses...a home base if you will. Towns are also considered safe zones, no fighting what so ever is allowed, and is heavily enforced by NPC Guards.

Places of Interest inside Towns:

Inn/Hotel - You respawn here
Weapon and Armor Shops
Crafting Aid Shop
Auction House
Tournament Arena
Church
Guildhouses

Playing in the Net

You select one of normal classes you would find in any RPG, we can discuss custom classes if you like, but the main 6 are as follows:

Race: We can talk about it.

Combatants

Warrior - Tank/Melee

Berserker - DPS/Melee

Rogue - Evasion/Melee

Ranger - Range/Physical

Mage - Range/Magical

Cleric - Ranger/Healer

Non-Combatants

Explorer - Dungeon Hunting and Mining.

Overseer - Guild and Housekeeping.

Artisan - Focused Crafting.

Entertainer - Group Support and Special Event Member.

Non-Combatants can group in combat. Artisan can repair items and structures. Entertainers can give buffs through song and dance. Explorers can find shortcuts other classes can't see.

Guild Play:

This is the standard play. The joinable guilds, and members of importance are listed at the bottom of the profile. (WIP)

There aren't any real stats or anything, there is however a "leveling" system. There are tons of ways to effectively level up. I'll list a few.

Completing Quests
Crafting Items
Completing Dungeons
Marriage
Aiding PIN's

What's a PIN you ask? Well, that's a Player In Need. PCs that require the aid of other PCs to free themselves from something, mostly this type of person can be found in dungeons.

Marriage is a unique way to level up, but certain conditions must be met for marriage to happen between two people.

First, The two must have done lots of things as a party, dungeons, field bosses etc.

Second, they must have a place to live, whether they buy a house together, or one moves in with the other, it doesn't matter.

Third, both characters must agree to the bond, for it's nearly permanent.

Fourth, they both need to seek out a church and ask to be married together.

Now then, when you have meet those requirements, you are fit to be married! Feel free to invite your online friends to attend. But be on your best behavior, for the Goddess Chiyo attends every wedding!

Now then, what are the benefits to being married, well, here is the list.

You gain a free level up for the couple.
You are auto-partied with your spouse.
You gain more XP by adventuring with your spouse.
You can have children, getting your first child result in a level up for the couple.
Strength of passives are increased when partied with your spouse.
During Dungeon runs, if one of the couple falls in battle, the one still standing can revive the other, though it's much slower then a Archbishop.

Advanced Classes

Combatants

Upon reaching level 10, you can become a more specialized class, depending on your style of play.

Warriors can become....

Hero - Battle hardened veterans, them having one rule. Keep...Pressing...Forward. (Balanced between offense and defense)

Paladin - Become the pinnacle of defense, your enemies will hard pressed to get past you. Your body, an iron wall between them and your allies. (Pure Defense)

Berserkers can become....

Charger - Tear your enemies apart with a never ending onslaught of attacks. (Hit as many times as possible)

Juggernaut - Turn your rage into a weapon, your fists into steel, knock over anything in your way. (Slow, but hit with the force of a train.)

Rogues can become....

Trickster - One who rarely plays by the rules. Using sabotage to hinder their enemies. (Use unorthodox methods to defeats enemies)

Phantom - Disappear into the world, then suddenly reappear near your enemy for a swift and deadly blow. (Stealth based, Ambush fighters.)

Rangers can become....

Marksman - Rangers become even faster. Their bows start to pierce any defense on the battle field. (Speed/Agility increased. Crit rate increased with bows.)

Sniper - The most lethal enemies are both the ones you don't see coming, and the one you can't reach. A Sniper is both of those. (Fight from the furthest distance possible. Slow rate of fire/High damage. Poor defense.)

MAW - Massive Arsenal Weapon. Use a weapon system that is designed with one thing in mind. Put as much ammo down range as possible. (Defensive and slow Ranger, slow down the enemies with serious firepower.)

Mages can become....

Sorcerer - You begin to cast aside main stream magic....and take up a new magical art form. Summoning. (Learn to summon creatures to fight beside you.)

Archmage - Your strong spells get even more potent. Casting spells left and right. Effectively the Artillery of The Net. (Learn spells that can used a longer ranges.)

Clerics can become....

Mystic - Give up learning the strong healing spells, and in turn look into spells to aid your allies in battle, and hinder your enemies in the process. (Utility Mage. Focus on buffs and debuffs, while retaining moderate healing spells.)

Archbishop - The embodiment of healing. The ground around you heals at your mere footsteps. You can heal entire armies with your power. (Instantly learn Revive. Healing spells double in power and range.)

Non-Combatants

Explorer can become....

Way-finder - Dungeon seeking specialist. They also excel at finding new paths through existing Dungeon.

Scavenger - Mining Specialist. Can dig up or harvest everything with relative ease.

Overseers can become....

Maid/Butler - Housekeeping. The PC homes they oversee gain new items and rooms faster. Guilds get bonuses at home when they have one present within the Guild building.

Shopkeeper - Gain a license to start your own store! You can buy sell and trade whatever you what! Even PCs if you are feeling kinky.

Artisans can become....

Gearsmith - Tech focused crafting, able to build machines, MAW suits, and Firearms.

Enchanter - Magic focused crafting, able to build offensive magic items. And Adds magical enhancement to existing equipment.

Steelsmith - Non Magic focused crafting, able to build maximum level armor and melee weapons.

Entertainers can become....

Singer - Expand your vocal powers, any friendly PCs within earshot of your voice gain the bonus your words carry.

Dancer - Expand your stage skills, and friendly PCs that you can see, or can see you, gain the bonuses you body carries.

Legendary Classes

What is a Legendary Class? Simple, it's one your character becomes through the actions he/she takes.

Say an Assassin uses his/herself as a shield for guildmates and other players. After some time, they'd evolve. The Assassin would be granted with not only their powers as an Assassin, but they'd also but get the powers and skills of a Paladin, thus becoming a Dark Knight.

If Chiyo (Me) seems fit to make such a change to your character, we'll talk it over between the players, then have Chiyo herself make the change to your class...you'll get to name the class too.

Example Legendary Classes:

Hero/Paladin = Guardian
Acrhmage/Trickster = Windrider
Hero/Acrhbishop = Savior
GearSmith/Enchanter = Metalweaver
Dancer/Artisan = Seamstress
Archmage/Mystic = Sage

With help from Joshua, another player, I finally have a world map of the Net!

Lore backgrounds coming but, the major cities are white, smaller settlements are black, dungeons are red.

Battling and Dungeons

Outside the Towns, you can find plenty of monsters to fight and get stronger against. Both feral and humanoid enemies can be found if you look for them. Lots of loot and other things to be found to if you are patient enough as well. Sometimes field bosses spawn, and those require teams of PCs to take down. RP battles using logic is how you fight here.

Dungeons can be taking on Solo or in a team. The less players in the team you have, the greater reward, however the party could get overwhelmed if you don't have enough PCs on the field of battle. Each dungeon has a dungeon master, reach him or her, and she'll reward you then teleport you out of the dungeon safely.

You'll have probably noticed I haven't mentioned vore at all by this time, I'm about to get on to that.

If you defeat a humanoid, there is a chance they won't despawn. The player who defeated it can devour the monster, and digest it for a small XP boost.

Example Enemy types:

Feral - Oral Vore Only:

Wolf
Bear
Lion
Tiger
Serpent
Alligator

Humanoid - Oral, Anal, and Unbirth:

Bunny:

Mermaid:

Centuar:

Harpy:

Bosses:

Queen Bee: Oral, Unbirth, Anal, Stinger

Giant Wolf: Oral

Great Serpent: Oral

Queen of the Jungle (Super Amazon) - Oral, Anal, Breast, Unbirth, Slavery

Duchess of Castle Varken - Oral, Anal, Unbirth, Slavery

Defeat

In a game, you are going to lose eventually. Now....what happens when you lose? Well, normally you simply respawn in the nearest Town, you lose some money and a little bit of XP, don't worry, you can't be de-leveled via this. However, you don't always respawn immediately when you are defeated. Depending on preferences set during character creation, you'll fall to the ground, weak and unable to defend yourself. Whatever you lost to....then devours you and digests you away! This method of death is a total loss of money, and you loss twice the normal XP, and you can loss a level via this method. Field Bosses will ALWAYS eat the fallen, unless the fighters have a way to revive the fallen player. And this is only in the normal field.

Things change if you lose inside a dungeon. A few different things can happen. One, you can simply respawn in a town. The other is being eaten by what defeated you like in the fields.....then you have these that can happen. One, the dungeon master captures you and hides you in the dungeon for some time, it's not long. But you can't defend or free yourself until either the capture time runs out, or another PC free you by defeating the guards holding you. If you are freed, the rescuer gets a level, and the trapped PC doesn't suffer a loss penalty. Oh....the guards can sometimes use you as a toy for....things I'll discuss later. When the Trapped Timer ends, a guard devours the PC and digests them.

Secondly, the dungeon master can decide to fully enslave the PC for some time. The PC is at the complete mercy of the DM, the PC can only futilely resist their whims. The DM can even send the captured PC to the "Auction House". The Auction House is where PCs try to beat eachother to buy items via how a normal auction would. If a PC buys the PC for sale, the defeated PC is the other's slave for the remainder of the enslave time. The same losses as being eaten are part of any defeat in a dungeon.

The last way has another vorish ending, but it doesn't have any effects in terms of losing exp. But if you want, it may have....other effects. This being a species change! How? Well, if a female monster beats you, but doesn't eat you, they could unbirth you! When you are unbirthed you enter the "Captured" state, however you cannot be rescued, revived, or in terms of a cleric, teleport out. You are at the complete mercy of the monster that ate/unbirthed you. When a monster has captured someone, they'll try to flee the battle if the person is in a party, if you aren't in a party, then there isn't anyone can do for you. The monster will take you into it's "home" and proceed to carry you around inside itself, during this period inside you may be turned into the species that unbirthed you! However it's not guaranteed you'll be changed as some monsters aren't strong enough to cause the change. During your time inside, you are able to switch between the interior view, being yours inside the creature, and being to see the exterior view and see your struggles and movement from outside the creature. You'll be offered a choice then if you change....Join the ranks of the monsters and fight against PCs for some time, or simply return to what things were, just as your new species. You ARE able to return to your original species if you undergo a Reformatting Ritual. Learn more about that by visiting a church.

Outside vore, if one gets captured by the monsters and mobs, and get taken to the home zone. There is also the possiblity of becoming a slave or servant of your captor. Prolonged time as a servant has varying effects.

Also, losing isn't always a bad thing....if you willing submit to a creature before being captured, you could POSSIBLY get a POSITIVE effect from it. The effect various depending on the creature....though you could also get a negative effect as well. So...will the RNG be gentle on you?~

Unique Game Mechanics

First off, PCs can marry and have children through sex. PCs that become mothers can turn the pregnancy bulge on or off in Fields, it is always on inside Safe Zones and Towns.

If a PC enters a Trapped stage in the dungeon, the guards are free to abuse the PC, via sex or whatever else.

If a PC loses in a duel, the winning PC is allowed to eat them for a boost of exp. Or they can enslave them for the remainder of the day, unbirth is also an option.

Game Restrictions

Herms do not exist inside the game.
No fighting inside towns. Duels are allowed if the guards allow the fight under controlled conditions.
