Today at snack time the gingerbread man ran away.
And until I found him, I searched and searched throughout the day.
I simply had to ask him then , "Oh gingerbread man, why'd you ever run from me?"
"Because, because, " he squeaked and squiggled. "I was sure that someone like you would want to eat me."
"Well," I smiled gently at the sweet little morsel, "with that I most certainly can't disagree~!"
