Neil T. Sutton was, to put it lightly, a horribly predatory businessman. He set up shop in just the right place and just the right time - a loan joint in the US of A, in the early 1910's, right in a nice little town that skirted on the line between being in bumfuck nowhere and being a hotspot - to be a scummy fuck and get away with it.

For years and years, he did just that - get away with it. He took money that he pratically couldn't be bothered with counting...all into his own pockets. The young man was fine for a good few years...til he saw turmoil on the horizon.

So, like any shady businessman confronted with risk, he hitched a ride on a boat nearby and set sail off to the United Kingdom, taking all of his valuables - mostly money - with him.

He found a home, set up a more reputable loan business, and seemed to be just living his best life once all was settled and arrangements were made.

That was, however, until he came upon a certain wealthy fellow.

William E. Dearing, an oddly pale - even for Britain - estate owner, who seemed to be of no particular occupation at the time, yet still in excellent economic standing...

It took more than a handful of meetings for Neil to even suspect William was a vampire, and then the very next time Neil met up with him...

Well, there was one more, once plenty of things were said and done.

A little while after those run-ins, predatory business practices started to creep back into the place Neil had set up. This time, however, it wasn't for the money...it was for something much, much more vital.

If, say, a client couldn't sufficiently pay back a loan exactly when they needed to do so, they could offer up their own blood as payment instead. This...agreement, of course, was never advertised, is never adverstised, and will never be advertisted or talked about in any manner.

Those who Neil knew did so...would meet a grisly, grisly end, to put it lightly.

This "practice" of his crept into private life and never left. Every once in a while, he'd ask someone for something ever-so-sweetly, ever-so-convincingly...

And, whoever he asked for something from, would end up with far less blood than they had when they came over to his lavish dwelling. If they said a single word about it?

Less would turn right into none.

Such things were among the more civil endeavors Neil had in his still-ongoing life. Those less so, well...
