Whoever said "good things come in small packages" has obviously never heard a single word about the Butcher Bird. Tales and tales go around of a bird boy, no bigger than an average teenager (occasionally smaller, depending on who's telling) always swooping in on an overcast day with the same warbling call.

-- It's more than easy to note whoever tells such tales never seems to be all there - always checking over their shoulder, looking into the treetops, and never wearing anything that bears their neck. --

For most of the day he's said to just be sitting on the highest perch he can find, analyzing his surroundings, and making sure not to waste energy on searching while in flight. Any easy pickings? Noted, watched.

When alarm may just occur, that's where the fun begins.

Due to the...seperation from reality that the wording provides, legislative bodies have been advised to provide this prose to the worried.

"Take care now and go on, all!

Pale wings have never ended our stride!

Let us continue on through this strife!

We don't buckle like oafs - we rise!

Worrying's not a wise use of time!

We'll all get these things sorted out!"

Circumstances around this piece called for executives meddling with the writer's vision for a previously planned poem...which left a little something for him to slip under the cracks.

It's worth nothing to mention that none who lived to tell the tale are native to the towns they currently reside in - nor are any of them particularly inattentive.

It's strange, though - every single one of them talk about towns and cities that no one lives in. Stranger yet - there's housing and it's all relatively new.
