For those of you that just want the short version without having to read a giant wall of text.

She is a mage and the owner of a brothel.
This is why she is called the mistress. It's her title as a brothel owner and does not mean she is scary, dominant (although she can be) or even a pred (she is a prey character).

She is skilled in the arts of psychology and mind control and is a sharp business woman.
she is fiercly protective of her girls.
Only a fool would risk hurting one of them and Nobody ever does it twice.

The mistress has changed yet again !

She never thought it would she would need to again but something happened.
When the mistress saw Madeline her emotions ran away with her.

She hired her on the spot.

Little did she suspect that this scary maid would seduce her into lowering her guard be for shrinking her down and vacuuming her right up.
She was even more startled to find her mind and body drained away by her evil, giant vacuum.

All her reforming magics were rendered ineffective by the fact that it wouldn't kill her. She was doomed to be trapped forever by the sexy maid and her terrifying machine.

How she eventualy escaped is a secret she won't tell but it cost her the body that she thought was now imortal.
Niether does anyone know where her new body came from.

Now, a small memorial has appeard in her office with a plaque that simply reads

Little is really Known about the more personal details of This elegant but mysterious owner of a classy uptown brothel. Not far away from the park.

In truth she is an illusionist - hypnotist and mind mage of unrivaled power. Although she usualy hides these facts from the public. And a very sharp business woman too.

She is a true proffesional at her job and prides herself on a quality of service that her rivals simply cannot hope to match.

This is because she allways has that special something about her.
An enticing demeanore.
A startlingly perceptive understanding of the her customers needs and desires.
Even if they don't tell her the whole truth or are to shy to come out with the full details of what they want, She allways seems to pick up on the unspoken truths both quickly and acurately.
This is not by coincidence or random talent.
Oh no. Far from it.

Though she keeps it hidden for the most part. She Graduated from University in her younger years with degrees in both psychology and business studies. But the former of the two was definatly her true calling.

By the time she had finished her schooling, she had developed a hunger to take this knowledge down darker roads.
Through experimentation with hypnosis, her social circle eventualy led her into the world of ocultism.
Her keen psychology background drew her to the concepts of illusions and mental manipulation like a magnet. The belief in the things that science could not explain was a burning mystery to her that could not be left undiscovered.
Soon her practices had given her a mastery into not only human thought but process of effecting and controling it.

It always gave her a sexual thrill to know that most normal people could not even hope to keep a truth or secret from her if she wanted to know.
The skillful techniques combined with a bit of flirting and using what nature had generously given her to "turn on the charm" usualy meant she could almost extract the truth a subjects head like some kind of psychic vampire.

It was this kind of unethical practice that one day changed her world.
A wealthy, mild manored associate of hers had frustrated her so many times with his ability to resist her seductive interigations that it became an unholy obsession for her.

He was hidding something from her in his head and she would have it no matter what.
So much so that she eventualy set aside her morals and drew him into her bed, where she eventualy wore down his defenses and had him in her hypnotic trance baring his very soul to her.

This man was different from the rest of those self absorbed gothic wannabe's who thought they had seen something of the "other world" whatever that might even mean.
This guy not only had the steadfast belief that a person can instill within themselves independantly of the truth but the memories, the experience, even knowledge of formal rituals.

It was clear to the mistress that this guy was the genuine article.
He was the living proof that she had allways hoped to find and now she knew that the world of spiritualism and magics that actualy worked was a reality.

She had to explore it and explore it she did.

Now, many years later, she is a mind mage of very considerable power. Able to reach into a subjects head and sense the emotions and truths, directly or indirectly control their action or in extreme cases, suck their very minds dry like a vacuum.
Which she incidently did to her old friend that started her out on her path all them years ago.

It is said that this once great man now wanders the streets of chicago a drooling hobo that cannot even remember his own name.

But she is not evil. She is capable of showing a great deal of compasion and is very protective of her girls.

Her current line of work is not only a perfect cover for her more secretive side but a beautiful expression and application of the skills she has learned from her research.

Few, if any at all, know the human mind quite like she does, and what better way to use that skill than to extract the deepest fantasys of her customers and bring them too life before their very eyes and plunge them fully into that world.
