Lusamine is the current president of the Aether Foundation; a group of environmentalists based in the Alola region who protect endangered pokemon. She's a calm and compassionate woman who cares deeply for the lives of everything around her, be it human or pokemon... Or so it would seem... Until quite recently, that motherly persona wasn't much more than a thin veil hiding rampant madness. For a time, Lusamine was an incredibly unstable individual, quick to obsession with the things that interested her and utterly apathetic at best towards the things that didn't. This condition was brought about due to a tragic accident resulting in the loss of her husband as well as possible exposure to neurotoxin produced by the Ultra Beast, Nihilego, that caused Lusamine to go off the deep end. For a while, she abused her position of power to push her own selfish agenda and got involved in countless shady operations. However, after her defeat at the hands of a young trainer, Lusamine began treatment for her condition and is currently trying to make ammends and atone for her misdeeds.

Lusamine's typical personality is benevolent and deeply loving of her friends and family, but that love might be a little too deep. She has a bad habit of becoming overly protective and even controlling of her loved ones in a misguided attempt to help them in some way.
