Ah, Viol. Such a lovely, powerful, and domineering creature. As she herself would boast often, it was only practical that she and her younger sibling set the standards for their home region of Salaba. Both trained in the nearby region of Unova for a while before returning home, where they thereafter competed in a competition where they would be pit against the best trainers of the region. The top five would take the obvious roles of the Elite and the Champion, and the sixth would be tasked with the job of collecting Gym Leaders, surmounted at the head of that particular occupational pantheon for the realm. Viol placed sixth, though she admittedly lost her final match to cement her place as a Gym Leader, finding the binding nature that lay within the task of being a member of the Elite Four a bit of a burden. Even the task of Gym Leader could be passed on, after all.

Viol, now considered the strongest available candidate fit for the task of Gym Leader, based herself in Gullehorn City, positioned in the center of the region, just south of Victory Road, and surrounded by immense walls. She left her sibling in charge of constructing both Viol's Gym and 'her' own while she went throughout the world in an attempt to find fitting Gym Leaders, displeased with the other trainers she had met in their homeland.

Now, Viol's nickname is 'The Deceptive Beauty', and she will claim this is due to the fact that she, while beautiful, is quite deadly. This is actually due to the fact that rumors have spread that she is, in fact, not a she at all. This rumor seemed far more evident due to the fact that, like Viol, her younger 'sister' is a trap, and openly admits to it when confronted. Viol is far more insistent that 'she' is a woman, and a noble lady at that! She also sees to it that anyone whom challenges this fact should be put in their place and forced to apologize, something she's been called out upon often by other Gym Leaders and the superior trainers in her region, whom often call her out on her fickle nature and hotheaded-ness.

Viol's team consists mostly of Dragons, with the exception of her Unova-region starter and another Starter that was given to her during her travels. She surrounds herself in Pokemon she considers 'beautiful' due to her insecurities and her insistence on hiding the fact that she isn't female, almost to a desperate point.
