A life of accumulating power, of forming contracts, hoarding favors and knowledge. All changed in a single instant.
The demoness known as Grimoire was called up by the High Purifier Fidelia. Her extensive contacts and libraries of secrets and spells caught the attention of Keita, a goddess of Love, Fertiilty and Redemption. She had sown discord, and lured many to the darker path, and her knowledge was too extensive to be allowed to go free. So, summoned on Holy Ground, the demoness was sanctified and slain, her tainted soul commended to the Goddess for purification.
Testament was born of this act. No longer a demon, but a servant of her Goddess, Testament (or 'Tess') was returned to the mortal realm after her purification and rebirth, to enact Keita's will and spread love to all. Some of the telltale signs that marked her as 'demon' remained, even after her rebirth, a reminder to her of her penance, and to others of the irresistable will of the Goddess of Love.
Horns, smaller and less pronounced, curve from the lush, purple hair, typically caught up in a modest bun or braid behind her head. Tiny, fluttering bat-wings mark what she once was, but is no longer. And her body shows the bounty of the Goddess, a living reminder of the love and fertility that Keita represents.
The loss of her demonic heritage, in all but appearance, means she is essentially human in nature. Magics of the arcane or infernal varieties no longer are at her command, though it has been replaced with the ability to channel divine powers, thanks to her relationship with her goddess.
As with many favored priestesses of Keita, Tess has a few substantial blessings to laid upon her. While she is capable of eating people, they are not digested, instead healed and revitalized, before they are released once again into the world.
She's also blessed with abundant lactation, as well as the ability to unbirth those in need, to give them the blessings of the Goddess as well.
As part of her blessing, she can alter her appearance, showing the blue skin and yellow eyes that even more clearly mark her as 'demon'.
