--APPEARANCE--

Tay is a little on the short side, even for a halfling, with bronze skin which contrasts starkly with her white hair and clear blue eyes. She has a roundish face with short curly hair and two gold earrings. She wears loose fitting desert clothing mostly white linen accented with blues and golds.

--BACKSTORY--

The Mehti Clan are a nomadic halfling clan roaming the upper lands of Kemet, mainly in the Sutekh wastes, who believe their proud sorcerous lineage to be a gift from Horus, Lord of the Air, who embodies his gifts once every 10 generations in the form of one they call Tiw'pet, the "Skybringer".
When Tayharset and her twin Hathmentep were born it wwas already known that they would be a part of the Skybringer's generation and that any born within their time could be the one to receive the blessing. However, as both grew it became clear to the tribal elders that the strong, skilled, resourceful, and preternaturally wise Hath and not his, frivolous, lazy, dull-witted sister Tay who was most likely to embody the powers of the air. However the wiser still warned them, that only the trial would truly tell.
The Trial of Air begins with a pilgrimage to the peak of Putjenr, children of the Skybringer's generation will go in groups as they reach the age of 15 when Hath and Tay ascend there are 4 others who make the journey with them. When they reach the top they wait for the stormclouds to gather, in order to complete the trial they must stay exposed on the peak of Putjenr whethering the storm until its fury was spent, the experience is said to draw out the latent powers of the Skybringer which sleeps in the blood of the honored one. The storm that fell upon the peak of Putjenr that night was historic, unleashing razor shards of ice and sheets of rain, lightning forking the skies like cracks in the heavens. One by one the children would give up and run for the cover of the nearby caves and when the storm had passed only Hathmentep was left, alone and shivering in the cold, or so he thought... flexing his frozen joints he expected to feel a rush of power, something to tell him that he had come into his power. That was when he noticed his sister. Slumped to the side it seemed to him she was unconscious, running to her side he feared the worst, it had been a hundred years since someone had died during the trial of air, but not unheard of. However when he went to her he noticed her ebony hair had turned stark white. Yawning she stretched, having gotten bored waiting on the storm she'd dozed off, her ability to sleep unchallenged by the fury of the storm she'd slept peacefully throughout the night and awoken with all the powers of the skybringer.
She worried she had disappointed her brother, but Hath reassured her that it was actually a relief, the Skybringer was a sort of cultural hero to the Mehti and the other nomadic clans of Sutekh, it was a lot of pressure on him as the presumed heir of that power, now the pressure was lifted he felt free to do as he liked! While she was most of all glad that her brother wasn't angry at her she had inherited his trepidation of her newfound responsibilities, only time would tell if she would be worthy of them.

Has a small cartouche on her chest with the name of her first soul claimed "Thorra"
