(Clerk's note: I know some of you are new to The City, so let me explain some of the eccentricities. The clockwork of Mainspring Mountain is a mystery at the best of times and a nuisance at the worst. Ergo, since we deal with so many ancient mysteries, The City built on said clockwork (which is not called Mainspring Mountain, I should clarify) is required to keep a ready staff on hand at all times. As such, we may need to keep some of the less social people on board. For example, last year, in one of the least-well-thought out ideas City Hall's ever produced, the replacement personel forms were filled out by the employees. Using the ashes of the old ones may have been a better idea. Still, I think I've managed to get the correct facts down, though my boss insisted on leaving the 'flavor text' in. Just so you know, it's his fault.)

Job duties: Ideally, fixing whatever's managed to fall off/get chewed off this time. In practice, whatever whoever's supposed to be working isn't doing, up to and including tour guiding, policing, and even dry cleaning

Syler's birthplace and home, Mainspring Mountain, is a riddle for the ages; no-one knows who built the clockwork symphony that stretches all the way down to the mantle. However, everyone knows how to fix the run-down contraption they live in, especially Syler, a dedicated Clocksmith. He’s a wolf enriched with biometallic implants that grow into his body like regular organs and allow him to do magic. However, even these can’t prevent every workplace accident, including the one that took one of his front toes/fingers and part of his ear. Despite this, he remains a proud citizen of his hometown, and a joker to boot. For him, eating someone is just a natural as putting them in a pocket. Being eaten is much like a vacation, which rarely ever comes to him.

Potential Plot Hooks:
Tour of The City: Syler's contract was very vague on job description. If you want a tour, who better to show you around than the guy who fixes the place.
Trek Upwards: You and Syler are trapped underground due to whatever. Syler knows the way up, but it's going to be long and dangerous.
Seize the Opportunity: Syler is worked like a dog most of the time. When he gets the opportunity for a vacation, he
will have a good time, no matter what gets in the way.
Long Lost Relic: For such an enigma, suddenly-vital pieces of Mainspring Mountain have turned up all over the world. Being an expert, Syler is often dispatched to get them, whether they be in out-of-the-way places, ruthless warlords, or local museums. No matter where they are, Syler will do his damndest to find/trade/steal his city's well-being back.

Yes, I am interested in this. Here is a list of abilities, based on the abilities I've seen around here. If I'm overpowered, just let me know. I really only pred with Oral, though.
Passive:
Trained reflexes - Having lived in an unpredictable city has a way of making you faster. -2 to opponent's attempts to move him to the grappled stage.
Sensitive nose - He
is a wolf, after all. If he gets caught in a stomach, he gets a -2 to escape.
Active:
Spells: On Syler's turn, instead of attacking, he can cast a spell on himself. However, each spell can only be used once in a battle. In addition, there is a 1-in-4 chance of the spell backfiring, targeting the opposite target instead.
Size Change - Grow: Syler gets a +1 bonus to resist predators who do not do well against predators over eight feet, as well as a +1 to escape and to devour his prey. If cast on another, they get the bonus instead.
Size Change - Shrink: Target gets -1 to attempts to escape Syler's digestive tract and -1 to grab and devour Syler, but must be cast before the target is swallowed. If it backfires, Syler gets shrunk instead.
Launch: By launching himself upwards, he gets a +2 opportunity to escape a grab and a +1 to escape someone's stomach.
