Princess Celestia is the ruler of Equestria, the land of ponies. She is ruling the land during daylight, leaving her younger sister Luna rule at night. Since ponies were only sleeping at night, her sister once turned into Nightmare Moon and tried to make an eternal night, forcing Celestia to banish her own sister to the moon for a thousand years. During that time, she ruled during Night and Day. She had a few students, some of them being Sunset Shimmer, that betrayed her for not getting all that she wanted, and Twilight Sparkle, her most faithful student. After the return of Nightmare Moon, Celestia got captured, but Twilight and her friends used the power of Friendship to free her and turn Luna back to normal. The two then ruled the land together once again. Equestria got attacked a few times, but Celestia always let Twilight protect the land, in order to test her several times. This lead Celestia to make Twilight the Princess of Friendship, making her an alicorn.
Celestia is a lot more aware than she looks like. She knows a lot of things about the universe. Don't be surprised if a pony that never went to the Nexus already knows everything about Vore. Talking of which, it looks like one of the mirrors in the basement of the castle is a portal to the Nexus. Maybe will you meet the ruler of Equestria next time you walk around the park.
Princess Celestia:
This is the normal setting. Celestia in her usual self. She is of course subject to boredom and has to entertain herself one way or another, may it be by travelling around Equestria to meet and interact with the citizens, or by going to the Nexus where beings can sometimes be stronger than her. No matter what, you should still be respectfull to her, since she represents one of the most important pony of all of Equestria... even if she often acts like a kind hearted person.
Some situations can come up from here. Celestia is still a normal pony and she has a few weaknesses. She's a light drinker [Example] and has a HUGE weakness for cakes [Example] wich might explain that Luna sometimes call her "Fat plot" or "Sunbutt" when she's angry.
Solar Flare Celestia:
"They are all giving me up... Luna said that she no longer needed me... Twilight married that... Flash Sentry. Cadence left for the Crystal Empire... Is that how I am supposed to end? All alone in this increadibly cold throne room? I don't want to... I don't want to be alone... And it will never happen! Being a kind hearted Princess leaded me here... and this will change! From now on I will force them to stay with me! I will no longer let them decide to run away from me! Even Luna will have to stay with me! I will not allow the night to come again! Everyone will stay with me all day long... A day that will last FOREVER!"
Filly Celestia:
"Okay... That didn't turn out well... I don't really know how this happened. All I remember was a fight between Luna and Discord... I wanted to stop them, but... they both casted spells to seal the other... Their spells hitted eachother... and then there was that explosion... and now... now everyone is bigger... everypony is bigger than me... did they shrink me down? No, it's not that... I feel... weak. Right, a mirror I... Wait... am I back to my young age? Oh no! I'm a filly again! What? How? Luna says that she'll go ask for Twilight's help, and Discord... Discord is laughing... a lot. Well... Luna just left... I guess there is nothing I can do with this weak body... I better go to the kitchen and find some cake to pass time... hope Luna doesn't catch me eating some when she'll come back..."

"Fine... maybe I went a tiny bit too far with my experiences this time. I mean, it's not bad or else... at least it's not stopping me from my duties in Equestria. But let's explain thing. I was in my library, testing out those spells that Twilight created. She's so talented. I was busy working on those spells when Luna and Discord entered. They were fighting together, and I had to make them stop. Of course it wasn't really bad... but I swear I saw Discord snapping his finger but saw no effect... I'm sure he did something to the papers I was reading... or at least I should have thought so before they left... when I tried a spell that was simply supposed to change the style of my mane... this changed something else... of course since that was only supposed to be for my mane, there was no counter spell... the spell did nothing at first... but when I woke up the next morning... my mane was indeed shorter, but... I became more manly... I can't believe it... I was no longer a mare! I... I couldn't call myself Celestia anymore... Luna kept staring at me all day long... and she decided to call me Prince Solaris... it's not bad, I... kinda like it. I'll keep that name until I manage to turn back to normal... I need to study those spells more to see what went wrong and... and since I'm a male... maybe I should go visit Twilight and ask her out... there nothing wrong with it... right?"
