Welcome to Gensokyo's subterranean world. After passing trough multiple tunels and going deep deep deep down underground, you will find yourself in a big underground society. It is said that youkais fled from the surface to the underground seeking to live in peace. Cities were built underground in huge caves, they adopt a style like the japanese towns in feudal era. The place was actually Gensokyo's former hell. The ancient city which is the biggest and most amazing underground city is guarded by Suika_and_Yuugi. It used to be Hell's shopping district and it is constanly lit by festival lamps giving an upbeat atmosphere. Well, since the town is polulated by a lot of onis you'd expect it to be doing festivals all year long. Though if your curiosity leads you to go deeper again, you will stumble upon the Palace of Earth spirits. It is said two youkais sisters live there, but nobody goes there anymore. It's just not worth paying them a visit. In their backyard lies the entry to the former hell. All kind of high level youkais strive there as well. It is not simple caves anymore but a very own little world covered by lakes of magma. The heat is unbearable. If you go deeper yet again you will find the source of heat and light of the underground hell, the subterranean sun, the hell raven who swallowed the sun god. |

Parsee is one of the many youkais living underground. Though she is worth noticing because she is the youkai of jealousy. She holds the power to manipulate jealousy but has herself a very jealous personality. She is very rarely seen happy. No one knows if it is because of her personality or her backstory. Otherwise, she isn't very strong. Not much is known about her, she tries to avoid contact, believing that it will bring her peace if she has nothing to be jealous of. It is wise to be cautious arround her as she can be easily angered. |

Both of them are sisters. They are satoris (yes, Satori is named after her specie), a sort of youkai who have mind reading abilities. Satori is the older sister. She is also the one in charge of the Palace of Earth Spirit somewhere deep in the ancient city. People seems to want to avoid seeing her. Afterall... who would want to befriend someone who can read your mind. Yes, Satori has the ability to read other's mind thanks to her third eye, she can also understand any form of languages. But it isn't all, she also has the ability to mimmic at some extent what she finds in the mind of others. Her abilities caused her to be alone since people wouldn't like her. On the other hand she quickly became friend with animals and spirits she could understand. Orin and Okuu are two pets she took care of and still do. Besides Satori happens to be really clever which makes her even more annoying. She is usually calm and reserved and appears to like teasing others, often going as far as to drive them into madness. Her sister, Koishi, decided not to live like her sister and as such closed her third eyes. Losing her power to read people's mind. However she gainned the power to read people's subconscious and manipulate it to some extent as a result. She prefers to go on the surface and travel arround the world unlike her sister. Others find her ways of acting strange, she might not know what you think, but she at least knows what you truly desire and how you truly feel... and she can play with that. Needless to say, the duo is not very appreciated. |

Rin is nekomata, a cat that has lived for a long time and turned into a youkai. Her tail split into two tails and she developed magic powers, some sort of necromancy. She has the power to manipulate spirits and corpse. She also have an ability to shape shift from a cat form to a human form at will. Satori at first was the only person the understand her and as such she became her pet. She was given the job of gathering corpses and souls to regulate the flames of Hell. Now she's more than capable of taking care of herself, but she still consider Satori as her master. Koishi and Okuu are close friends of her. |

Utsuho is probably the most dangerous being of Gensokyo. The main reason is that she holds incredible destructive powers and she isn't very smart so she might be on equal foot with Flandre Scarlet. Manipulation of Nuclear Fusion is Utsuho's main ability, basically she can be a living supernova with no real limitations. And since she is not too smart, it is a strike of luck the world is still in one piece. Utsuho is a Hell Raven. She has the ability to absorb the powers of anything that finds its way in her digestive system. She gained her dreadful powers by swallowing Gensokyo's Sun God. She passed trough major changes, a red eye on her chest, her right foot got encased in concrete and she was given a control rod to help her control her newfound powers. Utsuho also possesses a big cape trough which one can gaze at the universe. Nobody knows how she got all of these things. The best hypotesis is that she got them from defeated foes. Like Orin, she is Satori's pet, she was the only one who could understand the little Hell Raven. And now that she's grown, she still sees Satori as her master even though she is far more powerful than her. Her job is to regulate Hell's flames. Increase the temperature when it's getting too cold and vice versa. It is suggested not to anger Utsuho, nobody really knows just how far she can go when angry and what she's capable of. But it is easy to say that her fighting capabilities are to be feared. Her physical strength is outstanding, and her raw power is mindblowing. Mix that with her personality and you got someone who can blast an entire city to ashes because someone tried to pull a prank on her. Although she is not that smart, she isn't dumb, and can act friendly towards people she likes. That is if she doesn't put them on her menu. |
