How Do You Die ?Everyone knows the tales of necromancers, but few know the origins. Man loses a lover, man revives lover, often meets a grisly end by revived lover, etc. Ophiuchus though was one who was sad for man's short life and envious of snake's ability to "shed" their old lives and continue to grow. It was not out of a single lover, but for one who cared too much. He cared not for his own soul, just to lenghten his selfish life, but to help those who have been dying too young. He made a bargain with the gods and was known as the greatest healer of his time. He brought only a few back from the dead, but most he used science to heal, others were envious of his gift and attempted to take it from him, thinking it was his staff with the snake wrapped around it as a select few desired to be as pure as him, devouted to heal. It was until he could not heal an illness that he felt betrayed with his bargin. Ophiuchus cursed the gods under a dark name, along with their followers. Those who he had healed began to turn foul, followers could not heal as they once could, having to resort to dark magic to keep their stories known. It was Ophiuchus' family who were burdened the most. Generations within the eons left scars upon the "blessed" one. They often were born albino with a "birthmark" similar to what appears to be a chunk of their skin removed and replaced by a red tile. Along the ages the birthmakrs resemebed the insanity the Blessed one would inherit. Player Notes |
