Summary
A four armed Drider, proficient with both bow and sword. She's large and strong as well. Like all of her kind, she can make several kinds of spider silk. An inexperienced hunter, she's able to slowly devour her prey alive and whole quite well. She is capable of hunting down a meal if absolutely necessary, but prefers them to be delivered to her alive and restrained for her to swallow.
Physical Description/Appearance
With eight legs and four arms, not many would call Spinrai beautiful. She has Long black hair, neatly tied up extends down to the middle of her back. With deep purple eyes, small nose, a quick smile, she exhibits a natural beauty with an olive complexion. Her normal height is about 12'. She's 18' long, her spider being about 6' across when empty. Her default weight is around half a ton (1000lbs). Having rather large breasts, perfectly formed and tight to her body. She's mature, the equivalent of middle twenties for humans. Her measurements are 54H-36. Her typical attire is a light shirt, brown in colour that extends down to cover over the top of her spider. When travelling, she tends to were a Spidersilk armour over top. Her arms are about one and a half times a long as a 6' tall human's would be, and her human torso is similarly proportioned. She also has a rather large backpack on her back, with a second compartment that goes over top of her spider.
Personality
She's curious but less so than her twin sister. She's more prone to worry about appearances and what others will think of her too. As such she tends to avoid trouble and follows the practises of her people, living up to their expectations. She knows her kind often isn't welcomed, yet she is persistent and patient as well, giving others the benefit of the doubt and time to adjust to her imposing presence. She doesn't like to be alone though, and thus doesn't travel much.
Family/Relationships
She part of the wider royal family, and loves this, enjoying all the trappings of her station that she can. But unless something major happens, she's too far from the throne to ever be likely to inherit it. She has a twin sister, Caileigh, who is more of a loner explorer adventurer type. Spinrai tends to believe that that sort of activity isn't suited to her station in life and she can't undertstand why Caileigh does.
Significant events/Background/History/Origin
Drider Aciniform silk is heavily sought after, being both very strong and very flexible and can be made into a very light armour as well as very light rope. When made into armour, it's extremely capable, able to turn arrows and blades with high efficiency. There have been rumours of Driders being captured and imprisoned, made to make silk for others.
Hobbies/Interests
She's very interested in the going on at court, whether her star is rising or falling (really, she's not that connected to matter that much to the court). Aside from that, she loves to read up on other lands, loving to be informed about what's going on in the world. She just doesn't want to experience it herself, not directly.
Typical Vore/Hunting method
Given that she's at court most of the time, or otherwise around the Drider home forest lands, most of her food is feral animals. Any captured individuals or raiders or other offerings are reserved for the warriors or those higher at court than her. Not that she doesn't dream about feasting this way, but her opportunities are limited.
Setting/Scene ideas/Sought Plays
More ongoing and character scenes to help me flesh her character out
- Someone appears at court and falls out of favour. Spinrai attempts to curry favour by disposing of this inconvience.
- Sent away from the court for some transgression, she finds herself more exposed to the normal trials of life, including being hunted herself and having to hunt down prey.
- Attack on the homeward by barbarian hordes. Spinrai must fend for herself.
Abilities and Special Skills
- Tough skin
- Able to produce multiple types of silk:
- Gossamer - a very light and fine silk used for ballooning. She's too heavy to balloon anymore though.
- Dragline - very tough and durable silk used to provide the structure of webs.
- Flagelliform - the sticky, stretchy and tough silk that is use to capture prey.
- Tubiliform - very stiff silk used to protect immobile objects, such as egg sacks.
- Aciniform - bondage silk, used to wrap and secure freshly captured prey. Extremely tough (over 10 times as tough as Kevlar™).
- Produces oils and is able to avoid getting stuck to things, including her own silk
- Strength - She's quite strong for her size, as well as able to carry quite a bit on her back
- Enhanced senses - Able to see, hear and feel minute vibrations, making it difficult to surprise her.
- Project Silk - able to shoot different types of silk out to a distance of 75' from behind.
- Jump - is able to jump quite far, up to 75' away and 40' in the air.
- Gripping feet - when necessary, she can 'walk' up vertical surfaces.
- Magic - Knows some healing spells to speed up her recovery. Requires a good amount of energy to heal up from a severe injury though, energy she can gain from digesting a meal.
- Venom - Can bite and inject a venom into her victims, paralyzing them.
- Knowledge - is quite aware of the other races and their abilities and weaknesses.
Equipment/Loot
Normally dressed elegantly to cover her human parts, but with her bust size, there's no way to hide how well she's endowed. Has a Spider Silk top armour as well, tailored for her, including gauntlets and a helm as well, but it's stowed away generally.
OOC Notes
Player is an experienced predator and can play prey as well. Predator role is vastly preferred. New character who is still a work in progress and details may change as she is fleshed out more.
