Even though the United States of Liberion stopped using the F-117 in 2008...It doesn't mean other nations like Baltland can't use them. It's a stealth fighter, and because of the current wars in the Africa region and the Middle-Eastern regions with the Neuroi...Well, these jets are needed for bombing runs of Neuroi Hives and even ground bases. War has changed since the 40's, the Neuroi are more organized and even deadlier than before. Not only do they destroy cities now, they capture them, turn them into Neuroi hives and bases where more of them are created, it is a neverending war...However, it has to end sometime, doesn't it? Witches age is no longer a problem, developments in both magic and technology has ensured that witches can continue to fight into their thirties. Of course this is a huge advantage for the humanity since witches don't have to leave the war when they turn 20 anymore.
After several years of silence from the Neuroi, mankind was finally able to fully continue their research and development of the Striker Unit, among several other new technological inventions. In the year of 1974 the United Nations had sent five newly developed satellites into space, which would be used with the upcoming battle equipment, GPS and computer-assisted warfare could now be used, the Neuroi was still keeping to themselves in the southern Afrika regions and Hispania. With jet strikers and even the new F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter they were prepared for another invasion from the Neuroi. The world was still working together, even though relations between the union of Baltland-Suomus and Orussia was having several...Spikes in its asses to say it simply. In 1981 the Neuroi striked again, this time even harder than in the earlier wars, not only did they send several Hives they also captured cities and turned them into facilities that created new Neuroi almost instantly, and several of them, many Witches have died since that time but mankind has never given up hope that they will finally get rid of the plague.
In 1987 the United Nations approved of nuclear warfare, resulting in two Neuroi hives being bombarded with Liberian made nuclear missiles, unfortunately this also caused severe damage to several areas of Hispania, areas that nobody can live in anymore because of nuclear downfall and toxification of the waters in the area, however the United Nations have already started clean-up and makes sure no Witch or civilians enters these areas by accident during this operation. In 1990 the operation of cleaning up the damaged areas in Hispania was obliterated by a second Neuroi assault, at the same time news came about the Fuso Empire and United States of Liberion was under attack by Neuroi from the sea, defense of these nations were prioritized from defending Hispania and northern Hispania would once again become Neuroi territory, leaving Gallia vulnerable to a new take-over. The Neuroi attacking the Fuso Empire was fended off in 1993, however the attack on the United States of Liberion had crippled its defenses, the Neuroi attack on the Fuso Empire was just a low-scale distraction for the real attack, by 1998 most of the western part of Liberion was under Neuroi occupation, cities and military facilities having been turned into Neuroi hives.
The Neuroi kept failing attacks against Eastern Liberion because of heavily fortified territories and key locations, they even tried to sneak in an attack on the eastern border but it was caught by satellite surveillance, making the attack unsuccessful. In 2004 the Neuroi would have gone silent again, this was the time to strike back, the United Nations started planning their counterattack now, and by 2007 they would start their operations with bombing Neuroi locations and hives with new jets and long-range missiles, the war is still going on now in the year of 2014 and there seems to be no end to the waves of Neuroi, however they have regained a little bit of the western Liberion territories, having set up a forward HQ in the area where there are stationed several ground and air witches, alongside the regular army's soldier's and weaponry.
